      • Hi Sharon, you are more than welcome to the birthday greeting, I hope your birthday tomorrow is all that you wish it to be and that you have a realy sparkly quacker day, what ever you do have a lovely day tomorrow, i hope you are ok there, Im just getting over a kidney infection, had it over 2 wks now, i could not get to the drs untill last week, i had to go to the walk in surgery in the end, just could not get seen untill the 12th september, i could not wait that long, ive got one more antibiotic to take, ive got to go for a blood test sometime, will do that when my partner stewart has time off work, as i have to go to our local community hospital for that and i have to fast for that one, its checking kidney function, cholesterol etc, can only drink water for 12 hrs before i have it done, got to go for a bone scan in my foot on the 30th, have a heel spur on my left foot, had it over a year now, has 2 steroid injections, not helped at all, so having this bone scan done to check if anything else is wrong, i do wear a splint at night for my foot problem too, but its so uncomfortable, i live in England, its a cloudy day here and it looks like it may rain any minuit, that kind of day, you take care now and happy birthday for tomorrow christine

        • Hello Christine, Thank you once again for the birthday wishes. Haven’t made plans for tomorrow yet. I might wait to celebrate on the weekend. Possibly, brunch on Sunday.
Sounds like you are going through a ruff patch with your health. That’s not fun. Sometimes it feels like we spend too much time visiting the doctor and not enough time having fun. I hope you will be feeling better soon!
I live in the USA on the east coast in the state of Delaware. Very near the ocean / beach. I am retired and live with my husband, Jim. We have a 4 month old Bassett hound puppy named Freddie.
I love your picture with Patrick Hoy. Isn’t he a sweet heart?
On Tuesday, September 27th, I have tickets for the QVC Quacker Factory live show. It’s going to be Halloween theme. I think Patrick will be there too with Angel Smedley the U.S. host. It should be fun!
I’m looking forward to seeing all my Quacker Friends.
Thank you once again and I look forward to hearing from you. Be well!
          Fondly, Sharon

          • Hi Sharon,
Thank you so much for your lovely mail, you live in delaware, how wonderfull to live close by the ocean/bach, you got tickets for the live show at q v c usa! wow how lucky are you! did you have to apply for the tickets and was it a lucky dip thing you apply and if you got picked out you got tickets? is it far to go to the q v c studios from where you live? guess you will stay overnight if it is a lot of travelling there and back, Im a huge fan of our strictly come dancing there, its similar to your dancing with the stars, ive applied for tickets to go to see that every year since it started, 2 yrs ago i was lucky enough to get 2 tickets, so stewart and i went , it’s amazing how the studio is set out for that show, we sat just above where the judges sit, but you could see the judges as they had tv screens hanging from the ceiling, we sat right by where the celebrity dancers and pros wait to go on and where they go after they have danced, on our strictly come dancing they do the results show right after the main show, you have around 20 mins to phone or go online to vote and its done in the studio soon after that, but they show the results show the next evening on tv, but they always make out the results show is done on a sunday when in truth its filmed on the saturday the day of the main dance show, len goodman is leaving our strictly come dancing after this season, he’s going to still be doing your dancing with the stars though, our patch is a rascal, he’s a springer spaniel puppy, he’s 20 months now, this morning i caught him chewing the sofa cover!! although he’s got plenty of chew rawhide chews to chew on and other things to chew on too, your puppy sounds lovely, we cannot let patch off the lead yet, he gets too distracted, we play ball in the garden with him and try recall training but he gets distracted so easily, we had a lot of feeding problems with him, but we found a food which seems to suit him lillys kitchen it is called, its organic and grain free, i feed him some tin meat and some dry food mixed together, it was a miserable day earlier on here but now the suns out!! that photo of patrick and myself was taken 2 yrs ago i went to afternoon tea with him, i entered a competition on our q v c they announced i was one of the ones that won a competition then sent me an e mail saying sorry mistake you have not won, i contacted patrick over this and he looked into it all, apparently q v c said that my entry in the competition was supposed to go in by mid night on a certain date and it went in around 3am in the morning, but that is not true I’m never on my computer at 3am in the morning, i entered it around 4pm the previous day, i think my entry was in q v cs inbox and it got into their inbox around 3am thats why, so patrick made it up to me, by coming to my town and we got a taxi to a lovely hotel that did afternoon tea , so thats how i went to afternoon tea with patrick, yes he’s a lovely man, very kind too, i love quacker clothes, live in the dream jeans and tops!! and they wash so well too, when patch was a puppy he ruined a pair of my dream jeans, bit holes in them!!, i try not to let my health problems get me down too much, i carry on and do things here, i cannot walk patch though because of my foot problem, stewart walks him before he goes to work, he works at our local airport here, stansted, they mainly have flights that go to europe from there, he works in the whiskey and wine duty free shop, they recently changed the shift pattern around , and its taking some getting used too, he does combination of early shifts 4am-12.15pm or 4am-13.15pm, or he does the 11am-19.15pm or the 11am-20.15pm, on one week he only gets one day off, the second shift week he gets 2 days off and the third shift week he gets 3 days off, one early in the week, the other 2 days at the weekend, so this is week 3, he had monday off , worked yesterday and today, he’s working 11am-7.15pm tomorrow, friday he’s working 11am-20.15pm then he’s off sat and sun this week, so saturday we have to get 2 wks worth of shopping in, no point in going shopping when he’s just got one day off, its hard, but we are getting there, I’m cooking some beef ribs tonight with mashed potatoe and tinned spaghetti, will watch the show the great british bakeoff show tonight, its a baking show, its very popular here, when that show is on sales of baking things go mad !! everyone starts to bake! i bake anyway, i make muffins each week and i like to bake something different each week using online receips i find online, i have some recipes sent to me online from the usa, some guy called mr recipe demonstrates on line, i made a lovely meat loaf he demonstrated one time, it sure turned out realy good and tasty too, i hope you are keeping well and your husband and freddie are both ok too hugs to you my friend christine ps have a lovely birthday ! be thinking of you
