@lillianmanning Hi Lillian you are more than welcome to the birthday greeting, hope you had a lovely birthday and that all your birthday wishes all came true for you, hope you are keeping well there, its been really hot here in Enland lately, i prefer cooler weather myself, patch my springer spaniel puppy hates the heat too, finds the cool places to sit down and enjoy the coolness! take care hugs to you christine

    • Our dog, Disney, hates the heat, too. She’s an Olde English Bulldogge–yes, that’s how the breed is spelled. 🙂 She’s a variation on the regular English Bulldog. We’ve had a heat index of up to 109 for several days now. But I still had a great birthday. I hope your hot weather ends soon. Have a wonderful day!

    • Hi Lillian,
Thank you so much for agreeing to be my friend on here, i hope your day is going ok, guess its morning there still! its just gone 4.30pm here, stewart my partner is working the late shift today, so he’s not home untill around 10.30pm, i will do dinner and have mine early evening and reheat he’s up when he gets home, its not too bad here today, suns out but there is a breeze about and last night we had some rain, i know that because there was wet on my bins out in the garden, i painted parts of the wall in the hall way today, as patch somehow chewed the wall by our front door and i had to fill it all in yesterday with filler and today painted over the filler and also painted over bits that were dirty etc, think next year i will paint the hallway another colour, its yellow now, painted it about 9 yrs ago now, so due for a repaint, I’m going to paint our kitchen soon though, realy needs it, patch has put he’s muddy marks on the paintwork and the paint is not washable, so I’m going to redo it this year sometime, its not a big kitchen so wont take many tins of paint to do that, it was repainted around 7 yrs ago now as my landlords redid the kitchen and painted then they did not use the washable paint which is what I’m going to get, tomorrow i have physio therapy, they are going to do more deep wave therapy again on it, i have another steroid injection friday in my foot then i go back to the consultant on 5th august, ive had a problem with my foot for over 17 months now, turns out its very inflamed, severely bruised and i have arthritis in it too, i cannot walk patch, my foot is too bad for that at the moment,, i wear a night splint on it, but its so uncomfortable to wear, but ive stuck it out though, ive put a pillow under my leg that makes it more bearable to wear it, I’m pleased you had a good birthday there, did you get any thing nice? hope you did, i always ask stewart for quacker things, last year he got me those dream jeans with the studded pockets on them and i got the santa xmas top, my birthday is xmas day!! worse day to have a birthday!! lol, but who can forget my birthday!! your dog sounds sweet, disney is a sweet name, how old is disney? patch is now 19 months old, he was born new years eve 2014, we had a collie cross charlie i had him from 8 wks old, but we had to have him put to sleep when he was 14 and a half, we were on holiday in the usa and he got taken ill with breathing problems, he had cushins disease, for which he took tablets for, he was in kennels, they gave him he’s tablet checked on him and he had problems breathing, so they took him to our vets who x rayed him and found a tumour in he’s liver, they got in touch with us via my partners father and told us, they did phone a few hours after first phoning us but they told us he was getting much worse, would not drink, eat, could not stand up, so we had to take the decision to have him put to sleep, i was so upset, ive made a memorable garden for charlie got roses in there, did have a cross and a bible but patch got hold of them, so just got the plants on there right now, ive got edging up too, but patch still manages to jump over the edging and get on the garden!! we had charlie cremated and i have some of he’s ashes scattered on he’s garden, some are in wales where we spent happy holidays with him too, i have the rest of the ashes in a box that sits on the book shelf here, i realy miss him dearly, he was my first dog, anyway thank you so much for being my friend on here, where do you live?, have a good day there what ever you are doing today christine
