@honeybunny Hi Christine, it would be a honour to be your friend on here, I hope you are keeping well there, where do you live? I’m in England a place called Bishops stortford, Hertfordshire, around an hour train ride to London from here, i do not work due to ill health, I’m currently suffering with a heel spur on my right foot, had it over a year now, very painfull, I’ve had physio therapy for it, tablets, a steroid injection, all failed to do anything, so i was sent to a consultant specialist at a hospital here and I’m going to have an m.r.i scan thursday and I’ve got to go back to see the consultant august 5th to discuss results of the mri, one thing he wants to do is have me in under general anasethic and do dry deep needling and what ever else needs to be done to my foot, also I’ve got to go to a hospital in London to have deep wave shock therapy under ultrasound , so got to wait for an appointment for that, i cannot do much really, have to rest in-between doing things here, we have a 16 month old springer spaniel puppy patch, he’s black and white in colour, my partner stewart has to walk him as I’m unable too as i cannot walk too far with my foot, my partner works at our local airport here , he works in the duty free shop there he sells whiskey and wine! we came back from a break in wales last monday, we hired out a lodge for a week, took patch our puppy with too, my dad lives there, so it gives us time to see him too, we had a good time, weather was ok, bit showery some days, but other wise ok, i hope you are ok there today and had no bad weather where you live, you take care now, god bless you christine

    • Hi,Christine! Wow! I’ve never met anyone from England before! Always wanted to visit over there! I’m in Machesney Park in Illinois USA. I can understand about foot problems. I recently injured mine during a trip to the park with my boyfriend Scott. Had an x ray and thank God nothing is broken. My Dr said it was a muscular injury. I have to soak it 2-3 times a day for 2 weeks. I can only walk/stand on it for so long before it starts to hurt. I’m self employed, so it’s not really affecting my business, but it’s still annoying. I have 2 cats and a horse and a turtle. I live with my parents and they have a cat as well, and a dog and 2 horses. I’ve been with Scott for 2 years now, and we’re talking about getting married 🙂 Hope you have an awesome Memorial day! Your boys suffered in the wars just like ours. God bless you too!

      • Hi Christine,
Im so sorry to hear about your foot problem, ive had mine over a year now, I first thought i had a muscular problem, but after a month i went to see my dr, who gave me some cream to rub into my foot, after 6 wks no improvement so went back again and was sent to have an x ray then told i had a heel spur and was referred for physio therapy, for which i waited over 3 months for, they did no good, so i asked about a steroid injection, waited over 3 months for that, did no good so went back to my dr and was referred to a specialist consultant, we can choose where we go here, i chose a private hospital that takes on national health patients, here if you work you pay national insurance that covers drs, i do not work as i suffer from several illnesses, only got one kidney, have asthma, arthritis in my hand and lower back, have ibs, and now have this heel problem with my foot, i went to see a consultant at the private hospital on may 13th, ive got to have an mri scan of my foot, which ive got this thursday and he will see me again august 5th to discuss the mri, but he said something about having me in there and under general anasetich doing a deep needling and what ever else he finds wrong with my foot, he has also asked my own gp to refer me to the chelsea and westminster hospital in London for deep shock wave treatment under ultrasound, so got to just wait now, stewarts on the late shift today, 1pm-10pm, he works 2 early shifts, 4am-1pm the 2 lates then gets 2 days off, we did not have a memorial day yesterday here, it was a public holiday though, we did not do anything, stewart was working yesterday too, its been raining all day long here today, so patch has not been very happy, he’s a rascal for sure, he keeps trying to take the covers off the sofa!! we used to have a collie cross dog charlie but he had to be put to sleep on september 27th 2013, he got taken ill while we were in the usa visiting colleen in missouri, he was in kennels and had breathing problems, the kennels took him to our vets, who got in touch with me at colleens house and told me he had breathing problems, they had given him oxygen which had not helped him, they x rayed him and found a tumour on he’s liver, as he had breathing problems they could not operate he was 14 and a half yrs old, they did phone back 2 hrs later and spoke to stewart my partner, they said he got much worse and could not even drink or eat, stewart asked them to put him to sleep, i miss him so much, ive made a memorial garden for him, but its so hard to keep patch off it, ive bought some edging which is metal a is quiet high, will put that on he’s garden when the weather improves here, i have roses on it and ornaments too, we did briefly adopt a terrier x dog, but after 7 wks he turned aggressive on us, so we got a puppy now, had patch 15 months now, he was 9 wks old when we got him, he’s a springer spaniel dog, what dog do you have? thats wonderfull you have been with your boyfriend for 2 yrs, i was married for 21 yrs, it was abusive, and after 21 yrs i took the courage to up and leave, but its cost me dearly though, my ex turned my kids against me, i have 2 grand kids whom i do not see, my youngest does send me cards but thats about it, i have 3 kids, all grown up and married, not invited to any of the weddings, stewart and i have been together since 2003, so a long time, we are engaged, but to be honest i dont want to remarry, i cannot have any more children now, we came back from wales last week, had a week away we hired out a lodge there, my dad lives not too far from the lodge, it was nice to see him again, wow your parents have a few animals then, cat, dog , 2 horses, i hope your foot improves soon, i understand how painfull it is, i have to rest up in-between doing things here, i cannot walk patch though, my foot is far too painfull to walk too far on it, the only footwear i can wear are sketchers trainers, they are so comfy though, i do love to wear quacker clothes, love the jeans, they are the best jeans ever, you are lucky you get much more choice in quacker clothes than we do here in england, our next quacker show is june 15th, i was thinking of ordering some capris, I’m so small, I’m only about 5ft tall, i have to cut and take up my jeans, if i got some capris i could get away with cutting and taking up the hem!!lol, if you would prefer to mail me on my e mail it is cbrailsford@msn.com, its up to you, either way i dont mind, hope you are having a good day there hugs from across the pond christine
