Starting new page. See you all there.in reply to: Quacker Talk-April 2020 #110489Hi Colleen,
Happy 50th early. It’s even on a Saturday. It’s a good thing you didn’t have a big party planned as you would have had to cancel.
I’m sure you will think of something nice to do.
Our anniversary will be June 23-but it will be only 47 for us. Sometimes it feels so short and other times so long. We were lucky to find the right men to spend a lifetime with-anymore that is the exception rather than the rule.
We did see the masked singer. Ken is always wrong! lol They did a good job of guessing this time. Once Sharon Osbourne said who it was I was sure as she has seen so many singers during her life. I just kind of flicked through the afterparty as it didn’t look that interesting.
I watched a couple minutes of angel and Patrick and that was about all so I didn’t see the pictures that made her cry. I think she does have a new cat though. They had a show on Q2 yesterday so Q2 must be starting to have some live programming again.
Illinois is now on lockdown through May.
Jenny was able to get another dog finally. She sent some pictures. Oh I really want to be able to meet her.

Good ideas about the coins. I doubt that we will wrap them ourselves when the bank has the counter right there. We will just wait and Greg will have to take them in in a wheel barrow. lol
It’s good that there will be no other people at your ear appointment.
I agree with you. I would much rather stay at home than be hospitalized or dead. The virus makes people so sick.
I understand people wanting to get back to work though also.
We are lucky in that we can stay home and of course we are among the vulnerable population.
Gailin reply to: Quacker Talk-April 2020 #110397Hi DD,
Glad you got the laundry done. That reminds me that we are getting overwhelmed with quarters from the washer and dryer in our apartment. They won’t count them at the drive through so we would have to go into the bank to have them counted and deposited in the account for the apartment. Neither of us wants to go inside the bank right now so they are really accumulating. We have been no where in six weeks now and don’t want to go anywhere yet so the quarters will continue to accumulate.
I love the basket of cocker spaniel puppies. Puppies and kitties always make a person smile. I know the baby goats are cute too. Yes, thank goodness for social media now as it keeps us in touch and gives us things to amuse us. sometimes it was a pain and now it is a lifesaver.
We have had a bad media week in our house. The internet was out, the Dish was giving us problems and now we just discovered last night that our land line is down. I think the pixies are bored and causing chaos. lol
We are now in lockdown until the end of May. I had a feeling it was coming so was mostly prepared. To be perfectly honest i don’t know when i will ever feel safe going out in public again. Maybe we will just become hermits-or pretend that we are shipwrecked on an island or in a boat on the high seas.
I am interested to see what happens in Georgia with them opening things like gyms and hair and nail salons and tattoo parlors as it is impossible to go to most of those places and remain socially distant. I think in Illinois they are going to reopen some of the parks and let people go boating or fishing and also golfing-I think.
Brent said New Mexico’s lockdown was extended to mid May. He says his work has very strict protocol to go through. He just had an MRI and has some severe issues with his back particularly in the neck area and is being sent to a neurosurgeon but because of the Covid 19 situation it will be a while until he can be seen. That poor child has had more than his fair share of medical issues. Since his birth father has contacted him maybe he can get some answers on all these medical issues from a hereditary standpoint.

The above meme with the husband for sale sign reminded me of you. lol I wonder if she got any takers? lolin reply to: Quacker Talk-April 2020 #110384Hi Adele,
Actually the journaling that you are doing is probably quite helpful to calm your nerves and just reflect. It can be a form of meditation. Plus it will be a good historical record of what happened during this time. Please keep doing it.
Also seeing the grands is always good for the soul.
I guess Heather has decided to stay with you rather than move back home since you mentioned her being there for dinner and being in the yard with you.
Glad you liked the story of Greg and I at the bank. I will try to relate other silly things as they happen. In the meantime I have a large collection of memes for everyone’s entertainment. lol
Gailin reply to: Quacker Talk-April 2020 #110331Hi Colleen,
Thanks for the name of the ravioli. They sound good.
I’m not sure when we will ever feel like it is safe to go in public again-even after things open back up I don’t think we will be the first one’s out there.
When is your 50th? It’s probably good that you hadn’t planned a big party yet as you would probably have to cancel it. You may just have a quiet celebration at home. Our 47th is in June so who knows if we will even go out at this point.
The kids and grands are fine. Jenny is looking to adopt another dog but is having a hard time as as soon as one comes up for adoption it gets taken. Now is not the best time as dog adoptions have gone off the charts with people being home. The kids are really looking forward to it too-not sure about Luke-but i think he will like a playmate since he is so active.
