I saw this idea from Michaels Arts & Crafts, so I decided to make it for a back to school gift for my nephew Ben & I made a second on for right here in my home for important messages.
To begin–first gather your supplies— chalkboard paint, a small to medium canvas & a foam brush, chalk.
Next—using the foam brush, paint the canvas in one direction. Wait one hour, then paint the canvas in the opposite direction. (horizontal, then vertical, etc.)
Ok–you are almost ready, once the canvas is completely dry- using the chalk, write your sentiment!!
He is so excited to go to school!!
Or you could ask a favor…….
Or give someone a boost………
You could even make someone’s day really special….
How about something Quacky—
PS: This would be a terrific gift to Welcome a New Neighbor to the Neighborhood! Wish someone a Happy Birthday! Congratulate a friend on a Promotion! Remind a Teenager to ‘Make Your Bed!’
So many possibilities!
