Hi Adele,
My mom suffers from vertigo. She would get dizzy enough that she would fall. They said it was age with her also. So I guess that is another thing we can look forward to. We should be left with something when we get older. We lose our hearing and the sense of taste and smell. We get all kinds of things wrong where we have to watch what we eat. The things we cannot eat or the things that we can taste. They say the two things that you can taste most as you get older is salt and sugar. The two things that I cannot have.
Well things are getting better. At least you are not dizzy laying down anymore. That would be hard at night. I sleep in the recliner a lot of nights because I cannot lay down flat. I think that it may be from the acid reflux that bothers me more then anything else. I am really in a crabby mood today. Everything I say is negative. I think I should go back to bed and sleep more. Ron woke me up too early.
They are really pretty trees. Flowering trees are always so pretty. Have you ever planted a banana tree? Ron saw one in a seed catalog once and bought one. It is really getting big this year. It never grows bananas but it has really pretty leaves on it and it grows really big. It takes a long time for it to get very big. We have to cut it down every year and then cover what is left of it with hay for the winter and it comes back every year. It is an interesting tree that is for sure.
It has been raining here for two days. We did not get the thunder storms but we sure got the rain. There are some flash flooding in some places but not as bad as in Louisiana. They really have bad floods there when there is too much rain. I just hope that they do not have the trouble that they had the last time that they had a flood. This has been a crazy summer. It is either really hot and dry or it is raining and flooding. We should not be short of water now we have had so much. I will have to call my oldest daughter and see if it is flooding around where she lives. They have a low spot on the road that leads to her house but it is down further and does not usually stop us from getting there. It also goes over the highway and that is a mess.

Hi Barbara,
That is so sweet of Jerry to cut his moms hair. They have really bonded since she was attacked. I hope that Jerry and his brother can work all of this out. It is sad that she will have to leave her home but she is enjoying being around people she may really like better then she thought. She will have people around to talk to and she will not ever be alone. That is nice that you two bring her ice cream when you go to visit. That probably was the high light of her day. If she stays in an assisted living place like that she will have people around and she will make friends.
Another thing that Joey can do is when she wants to see her dog he could bring him up to your house and let her see the dog there. Then they will not be alone and she will know that there is no chance of them getting back together. She may have problems finding a place to take her dog if she cannot find a place that accepts pets. She must have had one before she met Joey though.
I hope that the baby is here by now and they did not have to induce labor. I am just so excited for you. You will have a lot more grand kids coming I am sure and each one is a treasure. It is so amazing all the things that they learn their first 5 years. It is just fun to watch them.
We are getting the rain now. It has been raining since yesterday. We did not get the storms though. It also brought cooler weather with it and that was a blessing. It has just been too hot here for a long period of time. It has been a long time since we have had weather this hot for this long. I am ready for some snow. Just snow though. No ice or sleet that we can do without. I am really getting picky now.lol
I am like that also. I have some things in my closet and I never wear it. I have some really nice jackets and never wear them. It is hard to pair them up with other clothes.I do have a pair of royal blue capris that I got from Quacker and I have not worn them yet because I have no idea what to wear with them. I cannot find a color that I think will go with them. I know that yellow will but there has to be another color then that. I should have sent them back but I waited too late.

Thanks for the info. I do not think my doctors office has that set up yet. They are a new office and they are still trying to get things worked out. I will check on it when I go into the office next time. It would be nice to get my results sooner.

Hi Adele,
I finally made the sauce today. It turned out pretty good. I got four containers of it to freeze and we had some on spaghetti tonight for dinner. We will make some more when there are more tomatoes. I did it different this time around though. I just cut the tomatoes and put them in the pan instead of putting them in the thing to chop them. They just cooked a little longer and then the other way but it was not as much work.
We had rain today and are supposed to have more tomorrow. I hope we just get the rain and not the storms. I do not like storms. It did cool down a little here but do not know for how long. Will just have to wait and see.
That is terrible to have dizzy spells like that. I am glad that you did not vomit with it. It was lucky for you that Gary was with you. That would not have been good if you tried to drive home. I am happy that you are not getting as dizzy from doing the exercises. That had to be miserable. Don’t you just feel like slapping the doctors when they tell you that it is dong what it is supposed to do. You are feeling sick and dizzy and you did not need to hear that. I have never heard about the crystals. What are they? That is interesting.
Your trees are really pretty. I did not know that they bloomed that much. Those blooms are so pretty. What made you decide to plant those trees? I had never seen them before. At least I do not remember if I have. Do they have different colors besides the white? They would be pretty in a pink or a purple. You could have all kinds of colors in your yard. I know it sounds like Easter eggs.
I really do not feel bad just stressed. I want to find out what is going on and then how to deal with it. If I know what is wrong and what can be done I am fine. I can handle that. It is just the not knowing and having to wait to find out.
I hope that you keep feeling better everyday. I will be praying for you also. I really do appreciate you and Gail and Barbara saying prayers for me. We have some really good prayer warriors in our group. Thanks again.

Hi Gail,
Melissa does not think about things like that. She is just worried that she will miss the kids when she is by herself. She really could do a lot more of her crafts if the kids were gone for the day. She still makes tutu’s but she only does it for the kids in the family. She is not selling them anymore. She also use to do spray tans but gave that up also. She just make up her mind what she wants to do when she grows up.lol She is really good at making crafts and I wish that I had her talent.
I always remember going to the grocery for the first time by myself. It was so nice. I did not have to rush thru the store or down a certain isle so they would not ask for everything. I could do my Christmas shopping without them anywhere around. I guess that is terrible that is what I remember the most. Now there are times when I think that it would be nice to have a child under foot. Oh well time marches on.
Well I am still waiting for the results. There is never a chance that they will call me with the results right away. They are just slow. The only thing that I can think of is they might want to give me all the results at one time. We will see.
How was Lachlan’s party? Did they get to play outside? I hope so it is hard when you have all the kids running around the house driving you crazy. The noise is worse then anything.

I have not had that happen to me lately. I have never had the robot thing come up. I did find out what that is though. It is for computers that automatically come on a computer and send things. Like some of the junk mail that we get in our e-mail box. They do not want that to get started on here. If that makes any sense.
It is really hot here also. I cannot believe that it is this hot still. Even with the air on it is hot. I have quit stopped watching the weather it just makes me hotter.
Thank you for the prayers. I am hoping that they give me some answers soon. It is not fun sitting around waiting. I have to be right by the phone to get the answers or it is hard to get them on the phone again. They said that they are having trouble with their phone system. I hope they get it fixed soon.
I sure am glad to hear from you. Was getting a little worried. Glad that you are doing okay.

Hi Barbara,
I agree with Gail about Joey and Lisa. She is just hanging on because he is familiar. He cannot keep letting her come over and cook for him. She will think that she stands a chance. It may be really hard for him but he is going to have to be the one to cut the cord. Lisa will never do that herself.
We forgot about the starts last night. We missed the whole thing. It is so dark out here so it would have been a good show. Probably like where you live. The stars seem to shine brighter and so does the moon.
Thank you Barbara for the words of encouragement. I do not understand why they tell you that there is a problem and then make you wait for such a long time to give you the results. I am like you it is easy to think the worse while you are waiting.
They are going awfully fast with taking the baby and not just waiting. Most first babies are late anyway. It is such an exciting time right now. Waiting for the call to say that Sarah is in the hospital and the baby is on the way. Then the one that says that the baby is here. I am so excited for you and Jerry. You are going to have such a good time spoiling this new grand child. I can see you holding the baby in your arms for the first time. There is nothing like it.
It will be hard to put Jerry’s mom in a nursing home but it will be better in the long run. You should be able to talk to someone there at rehab on places to put his mom. I know one thing the first thing you check on when you go in is if there is a urine smell. If there is they do not pay enough attention to the people there and it is not a good place to put any family member. Always go twice to check on a place and go at a time when you do not have an appointment. The first time they will show you around but the second time is the time to go without letting them know. I wish we would have done that before putting my dad in the home that we put him in. I knew some of the girls that worked in the therapy department and so went on what they said. I had worked with them at the nursing home that I worked at. So just check it out really good.
It is too hot to bake right now. Even with the air on it is hot in here at certain times of the day. With the oven on it would be unbearable. It would be nice if they had something to bake in like the slow cooker is to cook in. It does not heat up the house and it is quick and easy.
I wondered if those carts were any good. It would be nice to just roll the laundry to the laundry room instead of having to carry it. It is hard to teach husbands to use new things that we buy. You may have to leave his clothes on the floor while you go and do the laundry. When he starts to run out of clothes he will throw them in the cart.lol I did that to Ron once when we were arguing about something. I am mean to him though.
Well that is about all from here. Will be praying for Jerry’s mom and that the baby comes soon. I hope that I did not say too much about the place that you put his mom. I just worked at one and know some of the signs of neglect.

Hi Gail,
It seems awfully hot to have a preseason game. That would make it hard for the new players to play and do any good. They are starting these practices too early. They start before the season is over for another sport. It is not like it use to be. There was always time between seasons before the next sport started. Now they all just run together.
Tell Lachlan Happy Birthday You will all have a good time tomorrow at his party. It is fun to watch the little kids at a birthday party. They have such a good time. It is nice that they will have the bouncy house again. Kids really seem to like those things.
The Rams did have a really good team when they were in California. The guy that owns them quit putting money in getting really good players after they were here for awhile. I do not think that we will be getting another football team for a long time. I am not sure that the people care one way or another right now. Maybe later they will try for a team again but we really got burnt with this team.
I think Melissa will be surprised also. She will be able to go grocery shopping without having any one with her. They will not be filling her cart with all the junk food that they can find. She can finish doing something without having to stop and check on the kids to see what they are doing. The shopping was the best thing that I could do without kids along. She will find that she can take her time and buy things that she wants to cook for a meal and not be in a hurry to get out of the store.
They found the problem when they were doing regular blood work. I have had high white cell blood count before but not for this long. Usually it would go back to normal right away. So do not know why it is acting up now. I hope to find out soon. Guess I will just have to believe that everything is fine until I hear different. Easier said then done.
