Hi Ladies,
This is not going to be very long. I have some type of flu that is going around here. It is really hard to get rid of but I think that it is finally coming to an end. I have had more dry toast then I ever care to eat again. lol I do pray that none of you get this flu and that it is not going around where you live. I did not know that there was one going around until I caught it. Enough of that everyone has enough sickness in their families not to be talking about this.
I did not buy one thing from Quacker. I was not feeling all that good and did not want to order anything. I hope that this does not mean that I have lost my will to shop again. I may go back a look at what they had and my end up buying something. I hope that you girls left me something. lol You will have to let me know what you think about the tsv.
Adele I am glad to hear that Gary is home and doing somewhat better. You may have to watch him and write down what he is drinking without him knowing. Make it into something that both of you can do. Tell him you just want to see how that both of you are drinking in this hot weather. Just keep a list of what you drink also. Maybe he will do it so you will not show him up. lol This may work and then you can tell him things like you did not realize that you were not drinking as much as you thought. Or you can have a drink chart up. Every time one of you drink water check it off the list and so on and so forth. We had to do that with my dad and it worked.
Barbara, That is good news that Joey and Lisa are drifting apart. They need to stay away from each other so they can find other people to spend their lives with. That is so much fun to be with the baby. They are just so precious. Enjoy every minute because it goes by really fast. I cannot believe that one day we were cuddling Aliza in our arms and the next she is sitting on the floor and moving around on her own. Not wanting to be help as much as she did before. Just enjoy him and have fun watching him grow. I hope that it is the medicine that is making Jerry’s mom forgetful. You may want to check all of her medication and see if there is anything else that she takes that may cause that. That was so cool that she got to see the baby. We will be praying for your sil.

I love all the pictures that you posted on here. They are so pretty. I am like you. If something goes wrong with the computer then I am lost. It tells me to do something and I am thinking yea right I can really do that one. I am glad that you got it fixed and are able to get on here.
Hi Gail, Sounds like the guys had another great trip to Canada and the fishing. Hope that you got to do some fun things while the guys were gone. That would be a good girls week. Glad that you found a few things that you liked on Quacker. I cannot believe that Piper got tired at school the first day. That must have shocked the whole family that she was so tired. It will be interesting to see how her Aunt thinks that she did in school. She may have surprised everyone and did really good. I am talking about her talking and giving speeches. lol Sounds like Kendall might have had an easier time at school this year. I sure hope so. It would be nice if she enjoyed it this year. How did Lachlan do? He seems to like school though. Hope that they all have a great year.

Hi DD,
I did not know that people still smoked that type of cigarette. They are the worse type that you can smoke. The people that use to scare me is the ones that were on oxygen and they still smoked. I had visions of them blowing all of us up. People just do not think. I will keep praying for your friend. That must be miserable to have a broken hip and not be able to have it fixed. I hope that she has family that is there with her.
I do not understand why they change things like that. 55 and older need a place of their own and they can put the younger people in a different group of apartments. That is just so stupid. I do not know if they have changed them around here or not. I have not been to any of those apartments for a long time. I think that if they are connected to a nursing home they can keep it at an age group that they want. We have a lot of those now. They also have some condos that are just for older people. A bunch of the girls that I went to water aerobics live there.
Tornadoes can flatten a building also. There is a place to go to be safe though that makes you feel a little safer. A lot of people have basements and storm cellars to go to when there is a storm. So that is always nice.
I love the sign about the dog and the cat. That was really funny. I wonder how they got that cat to sit still long enough to let them put that thing on their head. The water is so clear in the pictures that you sent. That is beautiful. Makes me wish we lived by a river or the ocean.

Hi Gail,
I hurt my back while I worked at the nursing home. My biggest mistake was instead of turning it in I just suffered thru it and ended up hurting it worse. I worked for a long time after I hurt my back. Finally I just said this is enough and I quit. I wish that I would have done that sooner. They told me that it was a mistake to keep working. Hind site is always better then for site. If they had a shot that would take away this pain I would be the first one in line.
I did watch a lot of the cij yesterday on the q. I still did not find a lot of things that I wanted. One thing that I saw for Aliza was that elephant that sang do your ears hang low. It was so cute his head moved and his ears flopped. She would like that she likes things that move. That was about it. I am still looking for things for Kaylee and Ethan. Just about everything that they had was a little too young for them so will have to look elsewhere. It is hard to find things for Ethan and Kaylee. I did not order any lights. I do not know what I would do with them. I just am not really in a planning mood I guess right now. We will have to get things ready for the hay ride soon so mostly thinking about that. I need to snap out of it though because I still have a lot of presents to buy. I still have not found that special gift that I would like to get for my sils for Christmas. They just do not seem to have anything.
I got the e-mail to be able to order it early. I guess yours had not come yet. It is okay but nothing that I need. It is a t shirt with a jacket. The jacket is nice it is a french terry I think. The shirt is stripped and one had leave on it , a pumpkin, a cardinal, and there were a few more but cannot remember what they were. They were cute but just not what I am looking for. I still laugh when I see a cardinal thinking of you with your cardinal that keeps running into the window. That is just too funny.
I have to stop buying also. I have too many other things that I need to get right now. They will have some new things that will tempt us though I am sure.

I am so glad that Gary is back in his room and doing well. It is really scary when our husbands get sick. Hope that everything goes well and he will be able to go back and have the blockage removed. We are all praying for him and will be until he is better. We will still pray for you and him after this is all over with.
Hope that tonight you will be able to get a good nights rest. I know that it had to be hard last night Waiting for them to do something. Just remember to take care of yourself and get some rest.

Hi Gail,
My daughter thinks that it is a shorter drive to her house then it is to mine. So she does not come down as often. She tells me it is too far to drive. She if full of bull. So it will be awhile before I see Aliza again.
I did not care who explained the show to me. I was just confused because it did not make sense for him to hit the buzzer if it did not mean anything. Maybe they will improve the next time they dance. I guess he did not like that the boy pushed his hair back every time that they did a dance. I thought it was cute but that was the first time I saw it. I would not like to be a judge on that show. It would be hard to buzz a little child.
Good to hear that Jenny is feeling better. That would be miserable to be sick in this hot weather. Maybe you do not have hot weather there where you are. It has been really hot here. They say that it is supposed to cool back down again tonight. We will see what happens. It is hard to believe that weather man here lately. They get it wrong more then they get it right.
Did you hear about the earth quake in Italy? That must have been horrible. That old town and all those old buildings. I have not heard if they found all the people yet or not. It is interesting to see how people from all over the world will come and help people when things like that happen. It shows that not all people are bad. We still have a lot of people that care.
I am glad that she posted on here today. At least Gary is okay and back in his room. He really has been going thru a lot this year. Adele too. It is just as hard on her when she is trying to get him to go to the doctor or the ER and he will not listen.

Hi DD,
The ghost peppers are one of the hottest peppers that you can eat. They do not take the seeds out that would take away from why they eat them. I just think that they are all a little nutty. My bil eats them because he wants to show his son and Ron that he can eat really hot stuff still. I do not think that they care though. Ron just did not grow any this year which I was glad of.
I can see why everyone loves those dishes by temptations. I am like everyone else I have so many dishes that I have no place to put them. They would be nice to have in the fall. I would have to get rid of some of my other dishes to get any of them.
The Oregon coast is so pretty. I can see why you like living in that state. You always post such pretty pictures. They make everyone feel good to see them. They always make me smile.
You are right about the inside of the bowls. I saw the inside of yours when you posted them on here. They are really pretty.

Hi Adele,
I am sorry to hear that Gary is in the hospital. Hope he will not have to stay for long. If this ever happens again try to give him peanut butter. I had my sugar drop once and could not get it to come back up so I call the ER and they told me to eat peanut butter. So that is what I did and it really helped. I am sorry that I did not think of that yesterday I feel bad that I did not. It is good that he went find out what to do. I hope that it does not have anything to do with his kidneys. I will be praying for him.
I watched that AGT for the first time yesterday. Howie buzzed that young man that was dancing with his mother. Does that mean that they cannot come back or what. I could not figure out what good it did. It seemed like the rest of the panel got mad at him for doing that. He did make some good points though. It was on again tonight but they were showing the same thing they showed last night I think.
Not much going on here. Will be praying for Gary and hoping that he will get to come home soon.

Hi Gail,
It is kind of sad that we will not be babysitting for our grands for awhile. That is nice that Adam could change his hours so he could spend more time with his kids. It is important to be with them now. How is Jenny feeling today? Hope that she is better then she was yesterday. It is not fun to be sick like that when it is so hot outside.
Ron canned those peppers but forgot to put the gloves on. He said that he will be careful not to touch his eye so they do not burn. He has done this enough that he should remember to wear the gloves. You know how men are though. They do not think about it until it is too late.
I am back to going to the back doctor once a week again. I am not sure for how long. That is so discouraging. I guess it was coming though. It is hard to sit in the car and then hold the baby. Her bedroom is upstairs and having to carry her up the steps and then down is hard on the back also. The doc said that sitting in a car you put a lot of pressure on the back. It is supposed to help if you lay back a little in the seat or put a rolled up towel behind you. It takes some of the pressure off of the back. At least that is the way that I understand it.
That will be nice not having to go out in the winter. Especially with all the snow you get in your area. We get snow but not as much. I was not looking forward to making that long drive to St. Louis either. Ron would have had to go with me and he would have complained.lol
