Hi Adele,
The younger kids are always easier to buy for. It is the older people that I have a problem with. If I had all the things for them I would be thankful. My youngest daughter Melissa wants a set of pots and pans for Christmas. So will look for them first at Costco and if we cannot find them there we will see what qvc has to offer. I know that she wants a set of the non stick pans and she is not particular about what brand. That is good because they have so many different kinds now. She likes Rachel Ray so maybe she will want a set of her pans.
Sometimes rain will aggravate my joints does that happen to you? Hopefully they will find something to do for your neck and not have to do any more surgery. That is not a fun thing to do. I am hoping that I never have to have surgery again. I hope that for everyone.
It is funny that the animals pick up on the hot weather also. They do not like it anymore then we do. That is terrible that the eggs are so small. Hopefully your weather will cool down soon and you will get the much needed rain you need. It is cloudy here today but we were not supposed to get any rain. We will see the weather men are not right that often anymore.
It is really quite around here. Ron went to a visitation to an old family friend. I did not know her so did not go. He is going with his sisters. So he will not be alone. None of their husbands are going either. She would have been around Ron’s mom’s age if she was still living. I think that in her later years she lived in St. Louis so all of Rons family lost touch with her. So anyway I have the house to my self and it is so quite and peaceful. It will be noisy when he gets home though.

Every year a friend of ours church has an auction. They have asked me to make ten pounds of potato salad every year. This year they did not ask me because of me being sick so much. So this year I just went and enjoyed myself. Maybe enjoyed myself too much. Spent a lot of money but not as much as we have in the past. I went by myself this year and spent close to what Ron and I use to spend but not as much. Came close.lol They have brand new things and used things and they usually do a good business. I did get a new wreath for my front door. It is a scarecrow sitting on a railing. It is cute so that should last for awhile. I bought presents for the kids for Christmas.( those were off the table with the new items on it) So now I only have one more grand to buy for and that is the baby. Then I need to concentrate on the adults. I still have not found anything for my sils for Christmas. I have three of them and try to by something in sets so I can divide it and give it to the three of them. QVC just has not had anything that caught my fancy. Maybe they will before too long.
I hope that your back and neck are better since they did the x-rays. That is miserable to go thru that. I wonder if those people realize that it is that painful. They may not be so rough if they did. You will have to just take it easy for a few days. That was nice of Sue to let you know about the candy that you can give your customers. It is hard to find things to give that many people.

We have to drive to the church in town to give out candy if we want to see trick or treaters. That is what we do. That is the only place that I could wear the hat or maybe when we go see the kids I could wear it there. The kids would like it. I got one of the clown noses from Wal greens and Aliza smiled so big it made me laugh. Owen thought it was funny. I gave him one also. I have no idea when that contest will be over. I thought that it would be over in December. They did announce the winner for July but have not heard anything about August or September. I guess they will let us know sooner or later.
I had a good time at the auction. Bought more then I should have but not as much as I have bought in previous years. They have one trailer that is all new things that stores donated to the auction so I got Kaylee and Ethans presents for Christmas. That was nice to get that done. Now I will have to just get a couple of small things for them. The only little on that I have left to buy for is Aliza. It is hard to find what I want to get for her. I have ideas but am not sure that they have the things that I want to get her around anymore.
Did you get any of the storms last night or yesterday? It stormed here all night. So did not get on here because of it. I do not like it when there is a lot of lightning. That is scary because it can do so much damage. It was nice out today though. So the auction went well. I hope that they made the money that they needed.
That is sad that you are retiring from watching the grands. I know what you mean though. It is not fun when you have to go when the weather is bad. This way you can go and see them when you want to and go on good days. That should be interesting when Piper first tells you about tumbling class. Kendall will probably not be as dramatic and Piper. I hope that they both enjoy the class.

I do not think that anyone thought you meant that. We all agree with you it would be nice to have a time where there was no sickness and everyone was doing really well. It just seems like there has been a lot of sickness and different things going on with everyone. It would be nice if they did not happen for awhile but we know that it will continue and we are all here for each other.
It is hard when your head hurts and having to stand for all those x-rays on your back. I hate doing that also. It is worse when you have to lay on that hard table or do the mri. We have all had to do that. So understand how you feel.
We will have to keep praying for Nancy and her son. I hope that he is okay. That would be hard to lose another son. That was good that you made her laugh and you two had such a good time. It is nice to have a friend to laugh with. It is the best medicine for anyone. You are a really good friend.
Like they say aging is not for the weak. We are all finding that out that is for sure.
When you signed up for the contest for the witches hat did the writing kind of fade? It was weird when I typed it in. I hope that it was working. One of us should win something this year. We have not won anything so far. I am waiting to get that e-mail saying that I won the wardrobe thing. Wouldn’t that be nice. Oh well a girl can dream.lol

That little girl that did the singing won. Not the girl that sings opera. I could never understand what that girl was singing. Her voice was not that good. I wonder why people voted for her. Maybe because she was so young. I cannot figure it out. You are right about the clairvoyants. They should have known that they would come in second before the show. When will that show come on again? I just started to watch it so will have to watch it when it comes on again.
That is pretty good that those four came from So you think you can dance. They are all good dancers. I wonder if they were trained or took classes or just talented. Cheryl might be thinking that she came back at the wrong time. That had to scare her when all that happened. I hope that next week will be better. I love that show and would hate to think that they are going to keep doing that stupid stuff. Did you hear that the girl that is dancing with Gleb hurt her back during practice? Christine B. sent me an article from England talking about her getting hurt. We had no idea that happened or at least I didn’t. I hope that she will be able to continue to dance. They do have some good dancers this year like they did last year. It will be hard to pick the one that will win.
I hope that you get to go see Brent. It is hard not to see one of the kids for that long. That is nice that he found a job and has a girlfriend. I hope that he is really happy now. He deserves some happiness.
Saturday is the church auction. We are going to help set up because our friends have some health problems so we are going to help them do what they have to do. The auction is on Saturday so that will be fun. We always have a good time going to that. I am not making the potato salad this year though. I gave it up so they go out and buy it. Why they did not do that before I do not know. lol

I am glad that you are doing better with your dizzy spells. Well at least the doctor says that you are not sure if you feel the same way about it. It is not easy when you are feeling dizzy.
I thought that all of the dancers did well last night also. They were fun to watch. Ryan did not do too bad either. They probably did pick him way before that all happened. It is just a shame that those people could not keep their demonstrating outside the building and not do it on the stage. I wonder if they feel it was worth since they were taken away in hand cuffs. It is a shame that they did not show that on camera. They deserved to get their 15 minutes of fame. I do not know why they thought they would get away with it. I cannot wait to see the show next week. They really did have a lot of good dancers. Even the older dancers were good. It will be hard to figure out who is going to win.
I hope that Nancy’s son will be okay. That is so hard to go thru all the time. You never feel at ease with that going on. Hope that you have a good time with Nancy when you go out for coffee. Just talking to you may make her feel a little better. It would be nice if for one week that we did not hear any bad news about anything or anybody. It is good we have our grands to keep us going.
That is really nice that the physic told your daughter that. That had to make her feel safe just to know that he was watching over her. I guess that we all need that. when things are going wrong here if I have a dream about my dad I know that things will be okay.
I am not sure. I missed the show so do not know who won. You will have to let me know.

I am with you on hoping that they do not do that again. It is so much fun to watch them all dance and having a good time. It really must have been hard for the dancers that had to dance after that happened. They did pretty good though. This is going to be like the last show they had hard to pick out the best. They had a lot that did well the first night. That is usually a good sign.
I missed AGT. Ron was watching tv so we did not watch it tonight. Did they pick a winner. It was a shame that the dancers got voted off they were really good. I like the girl that sings opera and the men that sing. It will be hard to pick a winner on that show also.
How is Brent doing? It is a shame that he did not get to come home this summer. Maybe he will get to come home for the holidays. That would be nice. Is he still in New Mexico? I have heard that it is a nice place to live. My nephew lives there with his family. The boys love it there.
I agree four judges are too many for that show. It takes too long for them to vote and to give their opinion. I wonder how long Len will stay on the show. I think that he is giving up Stictly in the Uk. Wonder if he will do the same here. He may be getting tired of making all of those flights.

That was nice that they had a memorial for the man who died of cancer. How nice that his brother came and brought pictures of him when he was younger. That is so nice of you to think of having a memorial for Mary. Everyone in the building will probably appreciate it. They all seemed to like her and it would be nice to remember her.
It would be nice to have our full service stations again. It is a pain to get out and pump the gas yourself. I am like Gail some days I just do not feel like getting out of the car and pumping the gas. No tax either. Oregon is sounding more appealing everyday. We have to pay property tax and personal property tax. That just gets aggravating. Sometimes it feels like we get double taxed.
I am just starting to put my decorations up also. This crazy weather makes it hard to get in the mood to put up the decorations. Will have to put all of my Halloween things out so that way I will not have to worry about that getting done. I love Halloween. The kids all have such a good time.
We cannot get cable where we live. So we have a satellite here. It has not been too bad about going up in prices. That makes it nice for us. Our bill is not as high and we do have some pay channels. We do not have HBO or Showtime or any of the really expensive channels though. We have the family package and Encore. We have one more but cannot remember what it is. It is so we can get our local channels.
You posted some really pretty pictures again. I like the one with the dog and her puppies and the cat in the basket. Those are really cute. The Eagles are so pretty and they are so pretty when they are flying.

I had never heard of rice noodles until you mentioned them and then they mentioned them on the chew. At least the meal was a hit. That is funny that you put too much hot stuff in the food. That was a good cover up though. Did Bobby come home for dinner or did he go out to eat? That is funny that he does not like to experiment. You should not let him know what you are going to fix for dinner until he gets home and it is sitting in front of him. He will not know if he will like it or not unless he tries it.
I thought that DWTS was supposed to be on again tonight. I guess I misunderstood and it will be next week on Monday and Tuesday. It was a good show again. They have a lot of good dancers on there again. I think all of the stars did a good job and it made the show interesting. It was a shame that those people had to come to the show and stir up trouble. That was not the right place or time for that. They took up seats and kept people that really wanted to come to the show from coming. That was not right. I still do not know who I think will be the best dancer. I was impressed with Mary Lou Henner. She really did pretty good for being 64. She still can move. Maureen did not do too bad either. It was nice that Florence Henderson was there to cheer her on.
I talked to one of my other friends that went and now I do not feel as bad about not coming. They had already cremated her and they just had a picture there. One of the girls read a letter that they wrote to her and that made everyone start crying. So it was pretty sad. So there was not much to it.
Ron brought dinner home tonight. He went to Captain D’s and picked up some fish. He did surprised me. He is a good guy some days. Your meal sounds good. I have not made any of the zucchini bread yet just made the bars. It seems like that is what everyone wants this year.
I have talked to her and it does make me feel better. I also talk to my dad sometimes. I do not know if they can hear me or not but it sure does make me feel better.
