Hi Gail,
Thanks for telling me about the trees. I did not realize that they were all different sizes. So guess that I am back to square one. Maybe they will have something on there before Christmas. I do not know what to get for them. It is really hard to find what I like this year. They are showing a lot of the same things over again. Wish that they would come up with some new ones.
Did you see the Halloween decor show today. They had some cute things on there. I did not buy any though because do not know if I want to get any or not. We do not have any trick or treaters and the grands do not come out on Halloween anymore. So better save my money for Christmas. I may see a Santa that I cannot live without.
That is really nice that your sister is coming to visit. You two will have a great time. Will she get to stay for very long? It would be nice if she could stay for a week and you two could just sit and talk. I always like it when my older sister and I get together. We always talk about old times. Then of course we talk about our kids and our grand kids.
Did you watch dwts tonight. It was not surprising that Rick Perry got voted off the show. He has a lot of spirit but he just could not get the moves. My feet move about like his when I dance. lol He did learn some dances though for his daughters wedding. So that was good.

I did not watch the debates because I cannot stand to watch Hilary Clinton. She just really makes me mad when she opens her mouth so do not watch. Sorry should not say anything.
I cannot wait to see what they have for the Quacker shows for tomorrow. Patrick Hoy will be here also to help with the shows. They should be good shows. They will have a lot of Halloween shirts on there and hope they have some clearance on also. I do not need to buy anything but it is fun to watch.
I can understand what you are talking about with the housing. They do some really stupid things. They do not care about people anymore. They just do what they want and we have nothing to say about it. I cannot believe how expensive it is to rent apartments now days. Housed are outrageous and no one can afford them. They really need to do something about the homeless and get them back into homes or apartments. It is terrible that they can do that. Do not blame you for saying things about it. Something needs to be done.
Love all your pictures. They are so pretty. That house is so pretty but just think of all the cleaning you would have to do. That would take a month to get it cleaned. lol Small houses are looking good to me right now. lol

Piper is just funny. She is going to be something when she grows up. She is so funny now. It was good that Ron was with me. She is not easy to carry up and down the stairs. It is just so nice to have them snuggle up to you and go to sleep. I guess that we want them to stay that size a little longer. Each stage is special though. I wish that we could keep them little for a long time but that is not how life is. They want to grow up way too fast.
I taped some of the Q Christmas shows and did like you did and went thru it quickly. I just cannot find gifts for Ron’s sisters this year. They did have the trees again will have to find the number again. The small ones that light up and you put the little ornaments on. I cannot remember who made them. Have you ever fast forwarded the shows when certain hosts are on the shows? I did it the other day when Susan Graver was on there and it was really funny,. She moves around so much and is not very still and it is a riot to watch her. Angel is also cause she comes towards the camera and it is just funny. I really need to get a life when it get my kicks out of fast forwarding the shows to watch the vendors move.
We do not watch football anymore. We do not have a team and so Ron is not interested. He only watches the scores when the Rams play to make sure that they lost. There are a lot of people that are really upset with them. People that bought the season tickets and others that just bought for certain games are really upset. Some of the people will get some of their money back and other will not get anything. That is not right.

I remember Jo Mercer she was such a nice person. It is a shame that she did not find another company to work for on QVC. I guess she is happier to be away from there.
I bet she is so excited to be a grandmother. That is one of the most exciting times of your life. Right after having children or getting a new puppy or kitten. I hope that she is doing well.
Did you ever hear what happened to her mom? I know that she had Alzheimer and Jo was taking care of her. Just never did hear if they ended up having to put her in a home or not. I lost touch with her a long time ago. I think it was right after her mom got sick.

I do not know what the spikes look like. I just thought they looked funny. I cannot picture a bunch of guys going around the golf course with flip flops on. They did say that you can take the spikes off of the shoes and wear them around. Multi purpose golf shoes. lol I just thought that they were different and something to look at. It will be interesting to see if he does well with it. I really think it will be the younger group that will buy them. Guys Ron and Gregs age will stick with the regular golf shoes. I could not picture my dad wearing them around the golf course. I wonder if many women would wear them. Women wear a lot more flip flops and sandals then men.
It was really nice babysitting for Aliza. Ron went with me so when she had to go to bed he carried her up the stairs for me. She was so good and did not give us any trouble. The only time that she gets upset is if you leave the room and she gets mad. She will cry until you come back in there with her. Ron kept telling her to cry he was not coming back in so she stopped for a few seconds until she saw me. So of course I was right there with her. It was funny when she decided that she wanted to go to sleep she laid on the floor and started sucking on her pacifier. So I fixed her a bottle and Ron carried her up. I got to rock her to sleep while she took her bottle. Of course I did hold her a little longer after she fell asleep. She snuggled up to me and that really melts your heart. It will not be much longer and she will not let us rock her. I will miss that.
Austin does not bark when someone comes on the place. That is one reason Ron wants to get another dog, We need one that will bark and kind of scare people off from getting out of their cars. People are so strange right now it is not safe to not have a dog that will warn you when someone is on the place. I can imagine you really miss your dogs. We miss ours also. It is hard to lose them after you have had them for so long.
That is funny that Belle would get up close and take the food from the fish. They really are tame to let her get that close and not swim away. That is so neat the come to the top when you bring the food out for them. Can you spoil fish? lol

Our weather is supposed to cool down tomorrow. We will have rain and then it will cool down I guess for the fall. It is tiresome that the weather goes up and down. One day it is hot and the next it is cooler. I am ready for the cooler. weather. Sounds like everyone is.
I missed the Christmas shows. I have some that I have taped automatically so I do not miss them. I will have to look and see what ones taped.It is so nice to have the dvr. You really do not miss a program that you want to see.Even if you are not home.

I love your pillows. You really did a good job on those. You do a lot of sewing and you are really good at that too. I do not think that there is anything that you cannot do. You pup me to shame.
You really learned German fast. I guess you had to though it would be hard if you didn’t. Do you remember any of it or did you forget it over the years? This is terrible but I took Spanish and cannot remember hardly any of it but how to curse. I guess that really make an impression on me. Our next door neighbor taught me. They were from Cuba and I use to babysit for their kids.
The pictures of JJ and Marissa are really cute. That is funny how they can do that. That is a good picture of Gary also. Is he losing weight? He kind of looked like it in the picture. Not that I really know what he looks like in person. But you have put pictures of him on here before. It is terrible to have to be sick to lose weight.
I bet that you are very proud of her. Marissa is doing so well. Wow assistant manager that quickly. It is hard for the kids to go to school and work. I do not see how they do it but I guess we had to do the same when we went to school. When you are young it is easier to do things then it is when you get older. I do not know when Ron and I started getting older. All of a sudden when we go to the store and buy something the clerks are calling us honey. I always hated that. I am not her honey.
We had a good time with Aliza. She was so good. When she got tired she just laid down on the floor and started sucking on her pacifier. We had to pick her up and take her upstairs and give her a bottle and put her to sleep. She just snuggled up to me when she fell asleep and it was hard to put her down. I just wanted to keep holding her but I knew that it was best to lay her down. Even though I did hold her for awhile. it is just so nice when they snuggle up to you and they are so sweet and peaceful laying there. I do not want her to grow out of this stage.

I am glad that you had a nice dinner with the family. It is a shame that Amanda could not make it. It is hard when everyone is working. No one has the same hours. Marissa must work a lot of hours. You have not talked about her in awhile. Hope that she is doing well.
Well our weird person has not been back since the other day. Hopefully he got caught throwing bread on other peoples property and they arrested him. Probably no such luck. We just hope that he does not come back. That was just strange.
That was a long day for you and Tillie. It is hard to spend a day out especially if you have to go to the doctor. I hate to go there and sometimes you have to wait in the waiting room forever. There is never any interesting magazines to read while you are sitting there. So everyone just stares at everyone else. It is funny when they have a tv on you can never hear what they are saying because they keep the volume down so low. So you almost have to be a lip reader. I am not good at that at all. Poor Ron he does not know if it is turned down too low or if he just cannot hear it. He is deaf in the one ear. I would tease him about that but that would be mean.
You were in Germany for a long time. That must have been hard on you moving from the states and your friends to live in Germany. Can you still speak German or did you learn how to? I guess that if you were there for five years you picked up the language. I have heard that Germany is a beautiful country. That must have been hard for you mom to move from there away from all of her family.
I hope that you get your counters fixed the way that you like them. That is one thing that we do not have that much of is counter space to put anything. We have to buy a new canister set the one that we have does not close right and the sugar gets hard from the air getting to it. I will have to look and see what Temptations has.

Those golf shoes are just interesting. I had never heard of anyone not wanting to wear the golf shoes on the course. It must be a new thing with the younger generation.
Yes I am babysitting for Aliza tomorrow. Ron is going with me and we are going in to her house.I need to go for a drive and see if it effects my back. The back doctor wants to see if it is more the driving that causes me the problems or the lifting. At least I will not have to carry the baby up and down the steps. Ron will do that. We may not be there that late. They are just going out to dinner at a new restaurant that they heard about. So they may be home early enough that we will not have to put her to bed. It would be nice if she would let me hold her and she would fall asleep in my arms. I do not know if she does that anymore. She is too active.
We are thinking of calling the police and just talking to them. I told Ron he should talk to his nephew and see if he knows of anything like that happening anywhere around. He is the chief of police in the little town by us. So if it is happening anywhere in the area he should know about it. It seem like they all share that type of information. If he doesn’t he can find out and let Ron know. It is just strange. We did talk to some people that live down around us and they have not had any problems but they are going to start watching out for that. What is scary is the person got on the property and I did not know he was there. That is not good.
They always have really cute clothes on Quacker. It is just going to make it hard on us not to buy a lot of things. I am working on getting all of my easy pays paid off and I only have one more month and they will be paid. Then I will think about ordering things again. It has been hard because they have had some cute things on clearance and I have had to resist and not buy them. I hope that I can make it thru the next month without giving in.lol
