Simple Shimmering “Sugar Cookies”
When you are not a baker, take the easy way out! You can’t go wrong with sugar cookies and decorate however you please… Take your favorite sugar cookie recipe or buy the dough already made to bake! Add some sprinkles and that’s it. Put on your dessert table for a holiday party!
Ingredients
Your favorite sugar cookie recipe
Some edible glitter of your color choices
A couple of round glasses of different sizes
A rolling pin
A plastic straw
Some colored ribbon
A decorative plate, bowl or “TREE”
Directions
After your dough is mixed and ready for baking, use your rolling pin to flattening out your dough evenly.
Use a glass to act as a cookie cutter, make shapes of circles of your choice, place on baking sheet.
Use the straw and press down towards the top of each cookie to make a circle. When you withdraw the straw, the dough inside the circle should remain in the straw when pulled out.
Shake the edible glitter over the entire cookie then bake as directed… OR… bake your cookies without glitter on them, let cool, then frost and add glitter.
When completely cool, put your ribbon through the cookie and tie a bow.
Hang or display cookies as you choose.
