¾ cup sugar ½ cup butter or margarine softened 2 eggs 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (3) ½ cup milk 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups flour ½ cup chopped nuts (I use walnuts) 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of 9×5 inch loaf pan. In large bowl, beat sugar & butter until light & fluffy. Beat in eggs. Blend in bananas, milk and vanilla. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. In small bowl, combine nuts, baking soda & salt. Mix well. Add dry ingredients to banana mixture; stir until moistened. Pour into pan. Bake 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes.
**If desired, add some milk chocolate chips to the batter & spread more on top before baking. I prefer Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips.
