Santa's Favorite Cookies
Not a "traditional" Christmas cookie--but Santa loved 'em at our house!
4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups butter, softened
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
2 (3.4 oz) packages instant pudding
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°.
Sift together flour and baking soda; set aside.
In a LARGE bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Beat in pudding mix till blended. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 10-12 minutes. Edges should be golden brown.
