@colleen1 Thank you for your kind words, Colleen. I’m going to cook corned beef, cabbage and potatoes later today (Sunday). My husband and I will take some to my Dad for his supper. My Mom just passed away in January, so it’s been a difficult time for all of us. Some of the grandkids live pretty far away. I get along fine with the kids and grandkids, but you can imagine that “long ago” divorce put a strain on things. I’m really not the “bad guy” anymore! (Ha) Life is good and moves on. Speaking of cabbage; I took a probiotic class on Tuesday and learned to make sauerkraut. It is currently fermenting in a mason jar on my kitchen counter. Within a couple weeks it should be ready to eat and we cannot wait.
Take care and many blessings to you fellow Quacker Lady. Mary B ( P.S. cute QF pedal pushers on the a.m. show Sat. morning!)

    • Hi Mary, You are welcome. You corn beef and cabbage sounds good. I am so sorry to hear about your mom. That is so nice that you are taking food over for your dad. My mom is still living but my dad is gone. He passed on in 1995 so it have been a long time. I am glad that you get along with them now. It is not fair to keep the kids away from grandparents no matter what has happened. I understand how that happens. Two of my daughters are divorced. I hope that your sauerkraut turns out really good. I have never have had any homemade. That would taste a lot better then what we get in a can or a jar. It does not take too long to ferment.
I saw the pedal pushers but passed on them this time. They had another show on tonight. I put that on the dvr and will watch it later. They have such cute clothes.
Many blessings to you also. Colleen
