  • Hi Ladies,
Well, it’s the first full day of spring & guess what? Clouds rolled in overnight & it looked like we had some rain. It hasn’t been raining all day just overcast. Kinda muggy.
Gail, thanks for the pics of the butterfly. I haven’t seen any up here just yet. Those are beautiful pics of the hillsides. I knew there would be noticeable…[Read more]

  • Well, it happened again.
I was wrapping up anyway. Take care everyone.
    Love,
    dd & Jewell
PS: Nothing says spring/summer than hearing lawn mowers & the smell of fresh cut grass. But I love honeysuckle, gardenias, hyacinth, (they don’t last long enough), & other fragrant flowers. Trouble is they don’t like me. Pollen. sigh. I gotta be careful with…[Read more]

  • Hi Ladies,
Welcome SPRING!!! I believe we had the warmest first day of spring in decades. It’s usually chilly & raining, but we had a lovely spring day. I walked over to the store & I had to take off the jacket I wore. It was windy, but not as bad as it’s been. We’ve already had some brushfires due to the winds. I guess they were doing slash…[Read more]

  • My dear Colleen,
I’m so very sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I had hoped she’d be getting better & back home soon. I can’t imagine what a shock it must’ve been when you got the news. May God wrap His arms around you & comfort you at this time. I’m sending love, prayers, & lots of hugs.
Treasure all the memories you have of her. They…[Read more]

  • Hi Ladies,
I hope this finds everyone safe & sound. Happy St. Patrick’s day, belated. I’ll bet all of you had a ball celebrating the weekend. We had a beautiful weekend weather wise. Some places got up to almost 70 this weekend. It’s gonna last a couple more days then the rain returns. The East winds have returned but not as cold as they were a…[Read more]

  • Hi Ladies,
I hope this finds all of you safe & sound. I hear there’s a dangerous storm crossing the country right now. Blizzard conditions across the Rockies, Plains, & probably tornadoes in the south. I’ll be sending prayers for your safety in all of that mess. I wish I could send you the weather we’re having right now going thru next week.…[Read more]

  • Hi Ladies,
I’m baaaaaaaaaaaaack! I haven’t read all the posts so forgive me if I miss something. I hope everyone remembered to set the clocks ahead. Seems it gets earlier all the time. I remember when we didn’t do it till April. We have clear blue skies out here today. Winter weather plagued us all week. It snowed all day Wednesday, but it…[Read more]

  • Hi Ladies,
Is it spring yet????? The East winds are still howling out there!!! We’re gonna get down into the low 20s tonight, & that doesn’t factor in the wind chill
factor!!! I’d rather have the rain, at least it’s much warmer. Speaking of, we could get snow later this week when it starts warming up.

    I didn’t know bakeries made pizzas.…[Read more]

  • Hi Ladies,
My post just vanished into thin air, so I have to start over. It’s another lazy Sunday afternoon out here. It’s clear & sunny, but definitely NOT warm. Those blasted East winds are gusting through the Gorge making it very cold!! Highs are only in the 30s & lows in the teens or 20s at night. I hope the rains return soon as it’s much…[Read more]

  • Hi Adele,
Just googled amazon & it’s $119/ yr or 12.99/month which is a whole lot less than Comcast. They have 3 choices of plans, & in fine print they ask if you’re a student or if you have an EBT card (food stamps) or Medicade card. Did you know about that? I’ll check it out & see if I can get an even better deal.
    Thanks for the info.
    dd

  • Hi Adele,
I goofed. it’s on Messenger, sorry. I got it off my FB page. Got a question, how much does Amazon charge to sign up with them? And do they charge a monthly fee? I’m totally ignorant about Amazon.

  • Hi Gail,
So relieved to hear it wasn’t anything too serious. I’ve never heard of inflamed salivary glands before. How does that happen? The chicken soup sounds like a good idea. Isn’t it the cure-all for just about everything? Homemade anyway. Does he have to be on a restricted diet? No salt diet?
Will keep the prayers coming, it changes things…[Read more]

  • Hi Ladies,
Gail, I’ll keep you & Greg in my prayers. I pray it isn’t anything serious. The waiting to hear the results is always the hardest part.
I don’t know what if anything you’ve heard on the news about our weather. We’ve had snow, but it’s NOTHING compared to what’s going on out there. On Monday we woke up to a dusting. They were…[Read more]

  • Hi Ladies,
I hope this finds everyone doing okay. I see where the owner of the Pats got caught with his pants down, you might say. Ooooooops!!!! LOL. Men can do the DUMBEST THINGS!!!!
Well, this has to be the stranges Feb. on record out here. We could get some snow over the weekend. I keep getting notices on my phone about snow is inevitable this…[Read more]

  • Hi Ladies,
I’m baaaaaack! I see you guys haven’t been on here all that much either, so I guess I haven’t missed a whole lot. Colleen, I’ve been sending prayers your way. I hope they were able to get her UTI under control with more antibiotics. Adele is right about the IV in her veins is far quicker than pills. I hope that by the time you read…[Read more]

  • Hi Ladies,
Just a quick note. I don’t know what’s in the news back there, but we’re getting hammered. Heavy rain down here, causing flooding in low lying areas, heavy snow in the higher elevations, you name it we have it. We had the 2 driest/warmest months of Dec. & Jan. which are normally our wettest/coldest months of the yr. Here comes Feb., &…[Read more]

  • Hi Ladies,
I’m fine out here. We had a quasi-snowstorm the other day/night. It came down from Canada, of course, but instead of covering all of POrtland, it hit the East side the hardest. I;m on the West side & barely got a dusting. Some areas of the west side didn’t see any snow at all!!! Strange how that happened.
They say we’re supposed to get…[Read more]

  • I;m back. I don’t know what I did, but I didn’t mean to send it. I guess I have a computer poltergeist that does that!! lol

I won’t be watching tonight. I’ll be watching reruns of Criminal Minds. Just what someone with a criminal mind needs to watch. lol
He lies every time he opens his mouth, so I’m not gonna watch. Politics bores me anyway. Is a…[Read more]
