    Hi Everyone,
This is the last day of November. tomorrow I will start a new page for us. wow! where did the time go? Plus there is like six days less between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. i will really have to work like a draft horse to get my Fall decorations down and away, my Christmas decor up, cards sent, shopping done, things wrapped and packages sent away. I’m tired just thinking about it. lol Somehow it all gets done though.
    I guess that’s why I don’t bake cookies anymore-something had to give.
Hope everyone had a happy and safe Thanksgiving. We finally did meet Ricky. He was there at Thanksgiving.
I took pencil and paper over to Jenny’s and told the kids Santa needed ideas for what sort of stuff to leave at our house. Piper is easy-she gave a list to us and a separate one to her Mom. Lachlan never wants to tell what he wants and Kendall is getting older and is harder to buy for as she is out of the toy stage. I guess in a few more years the two older ones will want money or gift cards. It will make things simpler but I do love seeing children at Christmas getting a wished for toy. It’s always been fun for me-maybe more for me than the kids-lol-so my kids and grands always get a bit spoiled at Christmas. Oh well, that’s what grandparents are for-I guess it’s a good thing i don’t have 12 grandchildren like Jenny’s ex MIL.
Then Friday night when we got to Jenny’s their house was already decorated. She really made good use of her day off-but I guess when I was younger my time management skills were better too. Piper was kind of wound up with all the lights and decor-plus she has both a birthday and Christmas coming up. I had sent both kids some Christmas deco items from CIJ so it was nice to see them set up in person-i will have to have Brent send me pictures of his stuff.
So far I have been busy cyber shopping now that I have some ideas what to get. I will be keeping Amazon and UPS busy. lol
Colleen, we did get those strong winds-they practically knocked me down when I was bringing the garbage cans in after pick up. Normally I leave it for Greg to bring on when he gets home but i knew if I didn’t get it it would be blown to the next county. It’s also very windy again today.
Adele, I’m so glad that Steph and Jhonny decided to try and work things out. I think it’s always best for the kids if it can be managed.
DD, I’m not even sure what a cyclone is but it doesn’t sound good.

    Hi Adele,
I am so glad that the visiting doctor turned out so well. It sounds like a great situation.
I hope Gary is feeling better. Hopefully there will be more nice days where you can get the blow ups put out.
Well Hannah won-here’s the positive spin that me (Gail Pollyanna) are putting on it. I don’t think her pro – Alan- has ever won before and I like him so I am happy for him. Her I could care less as she comes off as a phony whiner. (I’m not being very gracious-am I) lol
It just shows you how powerful a big social media presence is in winning these things. Heck, if Kim K came back on again now she would probably win without even dancing with as many followers as she has. lol
Do you realize that this program is now almost 15 years old? Wow! Time flies. I am like you-I watch and wish I could move like that and just admire those young healthy bodies and wish i had appreciated mine when I had it. What’s the line from the song-you don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone.
Well you and DD are young whippersnappers-still in your 60’s. You better listen to your elders-me and I think Barbara. lol
No, I don’t think the boyfriend will be at Thanksgiving, but I’m not sure. this is getting silly.
I’m sorry to hear about Jhonny and Steph-no it’s never a good time for break ups. At least she has that license now and can feel more independent so that’s a good thing. who initiated the break up this time? I’m guessing that they must have gotten together when they were pretty young so people change a lot between their teens and young adult hood and maybe they are just growing apart instead of growing closer as us older couples seem to do. I understand what you mean by not knowing what to pray for anymore. I guess you just pray that she and the boys are happy and safe.
all of my Quacker friends and their families are always in my prayers.

    Sue,
We are supposed to get strong winds tomorrow-and rain. Better than snow in my book.

    Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone had a good weekend.
Barbara, I hope little Colin is there and you and Jerry are spending lots of time with him. That’s definitely something to be thankful for.
DD, I like those old fashioned holiday pictures. It reminds me of the cards and decorations we had when I was a kid. I just loved the old bubble lights when I was young.
I like Michael’s and Hobby Lobby and Home goods too. Sometimes they have so much stuff it makes my head spin.
Colleen, I know what you mean about Kevin working nights. Brent and Adam both work nights and I always feel sorry for them on days off when they have to change their schedules if they want to do stuff with the rest of us during the days. I don’t think it was too early to start defrosting the turkey. When they are solid it takes a long time to defrost in the refrigerator. usually it takes longer than the suggested time-at least for me it does.
Well tonight we will find out who wins DWTS. It should be interesting. Is the final sometimes closer to Christmas? It seems I remember other years where there was like christmas trees and snowflakes and stuff in the finale. although with Thanksgiving being late this year most of the towns have already decorated and many people have outdoor lights out already.
Adele, How did it go with Tillie and the doctor. You know you always talk about the Italian foods but do you do some German cooking from your Mom’s side of the family too?
I saw on the Q community that Macy’s had been hacked. That’s funny that you said that about the Russians because that’s what Greg and I have been saying about why our yahoo mail has been messed up. We’ve been blaming it on the Russians. lol
When we first moved into this house I decorated every room too. I had a Christmas shower curtain too for the one bathroom that has a shower curtain. I still do decorate my first floor bathroom as that’s the one guests would use too. Plus i use Christmas towels and such in there.
We use the Styrofoam plates with the dividers for our Christmas feast and we drink out of red solo cups-just like we are tailgating. lol I also have been using the plastic heavy duty utensils from WalMart.
That’s nice that Aizen got the honesty award. I wonder how they chose the recipient.
We went to see an A Cappella group called Voiceplay this weekend. This is the second time that we have seen them. They are so good.
I’m watching the Today show and Hoda Kotb just announced that she is engaged. She has had quite a year.
Well, I have lots of stuff to do today so I better get a movin.

    HI Colleen,
I’m with you I like to leave the Christmas decorations up for a long time. I have left them up until the end of January before-just to light up all the dark. It’s too much work putting everything up to take them right down after Christmas-plus it’s still the holiday season at least until New Years or to the epiphany.
You are doing good on your shopping.
I have my sister and our two friends that we buy for done and that’s it. I have nothing for the kids yet. Hopefully i will get some ideas at Thanksgiving. I will ask them for a list. Jenny and Brent I usually get a few little things and then give them money.
Try the Man Crates web site for a gift for Kevin. Also look on Etsy. Just type in gifts for men. They have some great stuff there. I have become a total internet shopper the last few years.

    Sue,
I hope that roof gets done quickly and that they get all the nails picked up.
I like the Quacker corduroy pants. They are somewhere between corduroy and a velour type texture. Also those shorts are short enough for me-most Quacker shorts are too long at 29 inches. I had to stop buying them and wait for the ankle pants which are short enough for me. I have stumpy little legs. lol Thus I hope ankle pants don’t go out of style because for me they are regular length. Better than petites.

    Hi Adele,
I can’t get into my emails today. Anyone else having trouble with yahoo mail. The last week or so getting emails is very hit or miss-I wonder what is going on over there. It’s very frustrating but who wants to change and then have to notify everyone of the change.
I haven’t heard back on test results yet from Brent.
Greg’s back is doing fine-they blamed the numbness in the feet and legs on the back but ever since he started taking the b twelve supplement the feet and legs are much better-so their diagnosis was kind of off base there. He went for a blood pressure check again yesterday and they are still changing his medicines and dosages for that trying to get rid of him having that tired feeling.
My legs are doing good. didn’t get any swelling with trips this summer so that’s an improvement.
That naughty little Tillie is a bit passive aggressive. lol If only you could explain to her that acting that way is hurting no one but herself. I must say my MIL was much easier to get her to do what we wanted. Maybe it’s because it was coming from me rather than her own child. Maybe mother’s feel like their own children shouldn’t be telling them what to do. Even though sometimes they act more like children than adults. lol It’s hard when that role reversal happens. It’s hard on both sides because you want to do what is best for them and sometimes they don’t want you telling them what to do because it makes them feel like they have lost their independence. But it’s all done out of love on your part-even if she doesn’t see it that way. I hope she likes the home doctor. That will go a long way towards making everything easier. I wonder if it’s a geriatric specialist.
