Barbara (Smith) is the “Quacker Cop” you’ve heard Jeanne talk about for years. She’s also Jeanne’s good friend and traveling companion. Barbara will be sharing her observations and experiences in a regular feature on our website. Enjoy!

"Murky March" was a fun time for Quacker Factory.  The first week started with a wonderful Today's Special Value on the 7th.   Jeanne and I arrived in Pennsylvania two days before the midnight kick-off show.  The TSV day is a day with not much sleep, so we like to have some "rest-up time".  Sunday, the hotel has an amazing Brunch so I invited Arlene, Alicia and Janet (Quackers I had met on Jeanne's cruises) to join me.  It was a great time to catch up with "who was doing what".  Arlene and Alicia live in Pennsylvania and Janet lives in New Jersey.  Over the years they have become such "special friends".  That evening, the TSV was introduced at midnight by Antonella.  The jacket was a beautiful soft, comfy, zip up in great colors.  I loved having time "on air" getting a chance to show how it looked on a real "plus size gal".  Jeanne decided to spend the night in the Green Room, as the cold rain outside was beginning to turn to ice.  Time to get a few winks before the next show.

The show in the morning was at 9am with Jill.  The TSV was shown again with such great response.  We had lunch at the studio while resting with our "feet up".  Excitement was building......the next show at 4pm with Carolyn was with a live studio audience.  If I hadn't mentioned it before, I LOVE live shows.  Really wished QVC would allow us to have more.  About an hour before the show, many Quackers start coming in the studio, filling up the seats.  Angel joined me as we welcomed everyone.  Well, the two hour show was a big "hit".  Again I was "on camera" showing off the TSV jacket.  Then Carolyn showed the DreamJeannes.  We all lined up wearing the very comfortable jeans.  Carolyn showed the gals, all different sizes and shapes....all who looked great wearing the 5 pocket jeans.  Somehow the subject turned to the flexibility and softness of the DreamJeannes.  We lined up, turned around, and showed the backside of the DreamJeannes.  With Carolyn suggesting...the group, while still facing away, started shaking their "booty" showing the world just how flexible the DreamJeannes can be.  The audience laughed and laughed.....the message to all....The DreamJeannes are not just pretty....they have lots of "flexibility".

The day ended with a show hosted by Patti.  It was the last show Quacker Factory with Patti.  It was a fun Patti show....but the empty studio was freezing.  I do mean "really freezing".  Jeanne stayed about an hour, wearing her winter wrap trying to stay warm.  She had just spent almost a month sick, so she decided to turn the show over to Angel.  Turned out to be a perfect ending to a perfect day.

7am the next morning really came fast.  We were packed, on our way to the airport.  Within an hour, we were sitting at the gate waiting for our flight.  Several Quackers came to Jeanne telling her how much they loved the TSV, buying it in several colors.  Jeanne loves that so many women will take the time to say "hello".  She is always interested to hear about their lives and where they live. So remember if you see Jeanne out and about, please say "hello".  The trip was exhausting, so our mission was to catch a nap on the flight home.  I think I fell asleep first as Jeanne told me later how funny I looked....eyes closed, mouth wide open.  So much for glamour!

The very next day I was back to work at my real job....fighting crime.  I used to think being a Detective in Criminal Investigations was great, but the Quacker part of my life gets more and more appealing as the months go by.  Time to think about retiring!

Nine days later we are back in the air.  Quacker Factory was scheduled for two shows, one on the 18th and the other on the 19th.  The best part of this trip was having both shows with Jill.  She really is the "sweetest"....one of Jeanne's favorites.  This trip was extra fun.  My son, Brian was flying up to attend his Elementary School (kindergarten to 8th grade) Class Reunion, and was staying at the hotel with us.  Brian, my only child, was born and raised in Philadelphia.  He attended Ancillea-Assumpta Academy in Wyncote PA, making some life long friends.  He was excited to be going to a party, connecting with some of his classmates.  Brian arrived at the hotel, meeting us for dinner.  We were also joined by Patti Reilly.  The dinner became even more fun when Dr Robb and Colleen (Clarisonic) joined us for even more drinks and laughs.  Trust me...many laughs.....Time seemed to fly by before I realized we were at the table from 5pm to after 11pm.  Turned out to be such a wonderful evening.

Luckily, the show the following day was in the late afternoon, giving us extra time to recoup from the night before.  Another great Quacker Factory show.  Seems like Quacker Factory has so many new items, making the shows extra exciting. Brian went with us to QVC.  I wanted to show him "my other life".  I think he liked being in the "green room" as well as on the studio floor, seeing all the cameras and beautiful models.   My very favorite item, Quacker Factory Petal Pushers were finally back in stock.  Apparently many of you also love them the way I do, as they simply "flew out the door".   Another fun and successful trip.

Sunday, we were on our way back home.  Another fun time.  March turned out to be more Fun than Murky.  Back to our Florida lives.....Taking a break before the April QVC schedule gets us traveling again  Happy to say that Spring is just around the corner......sending my love....until we are ON THE ROAD AGAIN

With Hugs and Love,

(Please let me hear from you: email me at barbara@quackerfactory.com.) I love hearing from others Quackers! With Hugs and Love, Barbara (Quacker Cop)

P.S. Hi- I would love to add something to Barb’s story---

Each year Susan and her people come to Florida to sample shop in my area. Last week, Susan and 5 others came to work here with me for the whole week. On Sunday night, I had a big dinner party for all of us. They all wanted to know if Barb was coming and I said, “ Oh- I’m sorry, she is on call for her real job.” Being a cop- No way can she come.  They were all very sad to hear that.

We’ll, Sunday night at 6PM, guess who walked in the door--- Barbara the Quacker Cop and everyone cheered! She surprised us all.  What a great Quacker. Wearing a Heart tee and Heart crop pants- Quite a vision!

We ate dinner and she got back in her car and drove the 2 and ½ hours home. That’s 5 hours of love! Two of her fellow officers filled in for her so she could come for a few hours- that’s a lot of love for Quackers. We really are all one Big Happy Family – and Thanks to the guys at West Melbourne Police Department- we got to play with one of our family members- Barb- the Quacker Cop.

We love you Guys

Jeanne
