Don't You Wish We Could All Be California Girls! - - - -
Well, I was for 1 day-
As you know, I was invited to be on The Bonnie Hunt Show, so Sunday, November 2, Tim and I flew out to Los Angeles on a miserable airline which, out of the kindness of my heart I will not name - and then we checked into the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Oh, my goodness! It was gorgeous! This is the same hotel they used to film Pretty Woman. I didn't see Richard Gere anywhere!

My room had two bathrooms - one the size of a New York studio apartment! And the sheets had to be 2000 count they were so soft and sleek.
The service was wonderful! Patty, the concierge, was a Quacker! (Let's face it, we're taking over the world!) She knew everything about QVC! Absolutely delightful.

Jeanne and Patty the Concierge at the Beverly Wilshire, a Quacker!
On Monday, Nov 3rd, we were due at the Studio to tape the Bonnie Hunt Show. But first we had lunch on the sidewalk cafe - overlooking Rodeo Drive! Such fun. (A couple of women walked by and I heard them say, that's the Quacker Factory lady!)
Tim, Jeanne and John have lunch overlooking Rodeo Drive.
We got to the Bonnie Hunt studio around 2:30. Everyone was fun- They made it a great experience for us.
Jeanne with Ellie, the Producer at Bonnie Hunt. We met her when she worked at Tony Danza.
The best parts of the whole Bonnie Hunt experience?- There were 2 major high lights besides meeting Bonnie - - -I walked into the studio and there were 25 to 30 Quackers in the audience. They all looked beautiful - full of "Joy" and "Happy." They were all Sparkly and Shiny.
It just made my heart sing to see them there. They watched our shows and heard about me coming and they took time out of their day to come & play with us - and I believe their Sparkle & Enthusiasm gave a huge lift to the Show!
And then - like the Cherry on the Sundae- there sat Lynn Tucker right in the front row! Lynn was a host on QVC a few years ago. We have kept in contact with each other. She had also heard I was coming- got tickets to be there and drove in from San Diego to see the show. What a Love - I got a Hug- But because of my schedule, that's all we got to do. Lynn and her husband Jim have been dear friends to Tim and me. Girlfriends are the best things in the whole world - love, love, loved the whole experience!
We had given the Bonnie Hunt producers Quacker Duck Whistles to give out to the audience, and when I walked out, the whole audience started blowing them. What a noise! I think it shook the whole place up! But such fun!

Bonnie acknowledges Jeanne's donation for her Cancer Research auction.
Bonnie was very nice. And pretty! She had asked that I donate something from my home that's not available on QVC to be auctioned off to raise money for cancer research. I donated a Fairy from my personal collection that symbolizes Dream and Believe. As soon as they finalize how to bid of the items, I'll let you know. Then we were whisked off to the "E" Studios to do "Soup" or "Talk Soup" as I call it.
They watch our shows & often have funny clips on their shows of us. A very sweet girl watches all of our shows & picks clips to go on their show.
Joel came and sat & talked to us for an hour. The whole Staff- And it is a very young staff- they knew us and really seemed very happy to have Quacker Factory there.

Joel and Jeanne "make-up together"
The producer of the Show was from Minnesota. And, his brother went to Ripon College so he knew all about my Wisconsin town - Too Fun!The women who found us - "Claudia" was the bestest! And, she & her daughters are Quackers. She is a very Special Woman. We fell in love with her right from the start. She is beautiful and has so much savvy. Loved her - She stayed with us through the whole experience in her turquoise Star French terry outfit by Quacker Factory.

Claudia, the Senior Producer at E! She and her twin daughters are Quackers!
When I walked out on the set- I sort of panicked- they had an audience of about 60 very very young men and women. I looked out and gulped. My Gosh! They're just kids and they have no idea who I am - And all of a sudden I heard a Quack Quack from a young man in about the 3rd row- then another Quack Quack from the back row - And I said, "Oh you guys do know who I am" - & one girl said, "Sure, you're the Happy Lady!"

I walked on stage with Joel and the kids in the audience knew me!
Over the years that I have popped up on The Soup, I have always said Joel is so kind to me - his Mom must be a Quacker.Well- he is just a very kind, funny man- And he treated us with great respect.
Jeanne and Joel did a skit...

where she gave him a special sweater with dynamite!
I have done many National Talk Shows in my life- But my "Soup" experience will remain with me forever. They even gave a special The Soup award!
Jeanne was given the "The Soup Award". A very special honor.
And it is because it is headed by a very nice gentle man, Joel. His whole staff follows his example. I have great respect for all of them. Please tune in on November 10 and watch the show. (Check your TV guide for times as they vary). Become a fan and They all deserve huge successes.
Early the next morning Tim and I were back at the airport, heading home. But this time we flew American Airlines and it was great! Mimosas in real glasses, nice omelets and fresh fruit for breakfast, then warm chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies with milk as a snack before landing! A girl can get accusstomed to that kind of treatment!
Now I'm home- Life is back to normal- But thank you God I had one day of being a California Girl!
I felt almost like a movie Star for One Whole Day!
I have to say, "Without All of You - We Would Not be Living this Dream."
Thank you so much for all of your love & support.
Stay Tuned- Never know where we will pop up again.
