Hang On!!  When your birthday arrives, that day begins a year’s journey around the sun.  You will be sailing into the unknown…who knows what awaits you as your travel  begins.  I’ve heard it said on PBS TV that we are all made up of stardust.  What a remarkable ride and it starts with your birthday!
Bill and I are back from a week’s trip in Pennsylvania.  We were in a group of about 150 happy “Quackers” to be part of a birthday celebration for Jeanne Bice. QVC hosted a studio audience show to say “Happy Birthday” to our good friend, Jeanne.

Quacker activities began with a brunch at The Classic  Diner in Malvern, PA.  About 25 party-goers connected over bountiful food to start the special day.

From the left:  Alicia and Arlene Pomante, Eve LaTulipe, Betty Ann Lininger, Bill Lininger, Bill LaTulipe, Rosella Freeman and Barb Smith (Quacker Cop).  So happy to see former friends.  Gorgeous in Quacker fashion!

After lunch, many of us visited the QVC Studio Park store or shopped at the OVC Outlet store in Fraser.  The outlets were having 80% off on all fashion.  Some suitcases are going to be bursting!!

Next we arrived at QVC Studio Park for the birthday audience show for the “Head Quack”.
How great to see so many familiar smiling faces.

We were served Birthday cupcakes!!  Delicious!

After the show at QVC, we all got together to watch Jeanne open gifts and make a wish before the candles were blown out.

What is a party without a cake?  Barb Smith planned the birthday cake, birthday plates, napkins, etc.  Alicia and Arlene Pomante  delivered  “the cake” and party goods to the gathering.  The Pomantes also found adorable duck candles.  Wish I had a close up of them, but the candle flames blur the little ducks sitting on the frosting.
This was a cake to make a wish on!

What is your favorite birthday wish?

Wish for a beautiful flower garden this year.
Wish for fair weather for a picnic.
Wish that my Dad never finds out I ate his piece of favorite cherry pie.
Wish that an old friend will be inspired to call you.
Wish I could take a photograph and not cut off someone’s head!

A few weeks ago, Peggy Schmeltzer organized a special gift for Jeanne.  Peggy asked that those who wished to participate could include a gift of “themselves” that would be put into a birthday basket .  The gift could be a letter, a poem, a small something that would be a reflection of the giver.  When we all gathered together after the show, the basket was presented to the birthday girl.

It was a wonderful few days in West Chester and Malvern, PA.  Good friends, good food, good conversation. Our time together always seems too short.  We will be ready for the next gathering of Quacker friends.  There will be a cruise sometime in the Fall of 2011.  Please think about coming on the cruise as you make your year’s orbit around the sun.  Join us for laughter, friendship and a feeling of HARMONY on a Quacker vacation.

SLAP  (Sounds Like a Plan)!
Hee, hee!,
Eve

(Please let me hear from you: email me at eve@quackerfactory.com.) I love hearing from others Quackers!

Bill and Eve Latulip were in my very 1st live audience show and have been friends ever since. They came in a few days early so we could play. Eve did not tell you but she and Bill set up the whole party at the hotel, even had place cards. She ran the whole affair, so the rest of us could just play and have fun. Eve has been so busy getting her moms stuff settled since her unexpected death. This was suppose to be rest time for her, but she just stepped up to the plate and give us all joy.

Bill and Eve a huge thank you!
