Welcome to Ask Angel!

It's been almost two months since I started on air as a Quacker Factory guest on QVC!  So much has happened.  I've heard from so many old friends, and made lots of new ones.  Lots of comments and questions.  Here are a few of the most asked.  (Please let me hear from you: e-mail me at Angel@quackerfactory.com, or on Facebook.)  I love hearing from Quackers!

Q:  You started on air as a guest for Quacker Factory on QVC in late February.  Tell us about your experience.  For example:  the scariest moment, or the funniest moment.

Angel:  The scariest moment was when I was getting ready for my very first solo show.  I realized that I had to be out there for 2 hours and talk, and sound intelligent and funny. I actually started sweating, and my microphone pack was hot which made me sweat more.  But once the show started, and I got out there and talked with Gabrielle (the host), I felt better. The funniest moment was when I called a bee’s antenna antlers!  It was very late at night!

Q. You’ve been doing the overnight shows for Quacker Factory on QVC.  What’s that like—working so late at night?

Angel:  Since I’ve been modeling for QVC for 19 years, I am used to going to work in the middle of the night.  Plus there’s no traffic!  But the next day is hard.  I learned I have to be sure to get plenty of rest the few days before an overnight show.

Q:  You’ve modeled for QVC for 19 years!  Wow!  How did you get into modeling and wind up at QVC?

Angel:  It’s kind of a long story.  When I was quite young I always wanted to be a model.  I was a chubby little girl, but that didn’t matter as far as I was concerned.  Later I learned there were ‘plus-size’ models, so that sounded perfect for me.  Eventually I took some modeling courses, and did some shows.  Then a friend told me there could be an opportunity at QVC, and I tried for it, and got it.  So the lesson is:  never give up on your dream!  I know Jeanne says the same thing in her books and on air.  Dreams do come true, if you believe and work hard enough.

Q:  Have you met any Quackers outside QVC since you’ve been on air?

Angel:  Funny you should ask.  Just this week I was out shopping and I saw a beautiful women (Loraine) dressed in head-to-toe Quacker.  She looked fabulous!  I didn’t go up to her, but eventually our paths crossed in the store, and she got so excited!  She came up to me and said ‘I can’t believe you are my first—‘Quack, quack!’.  I laughed, we hugged and she just gushed about how she loves Quacker and QVC.  It is always fun to meet the Quacker fan!

Q:  So, all in all, how do you feel about your first couple of months?

Angel:  The Quackers have been AWESOME with their love and support.  The kind words they have shared with me on Facebook, on the QVC website, and through my e-mail at QuackerFactory.com.  I’d love to hear from everyone:  e-mail me at Angel@Quackerfactory.com.  Or keep in touch on Facebook.

Till next time, I’ll see you on QVC!
