Ever since the word got out that I was going to be an on-air guest, working with Jeanne on the Quacker Factory shows on QVC, I have been bombarded with all sorts of questions. Jeanne suggested I do a feature on QuackerFactory.com, so here I am!  I’ll start with some questions I’ve been asked most frequently.  But I’d love to hear from you.  Just e-mail me at Angel@Quackerfactory.com.  And watch for regular updates to this column.

Q:  What is your new role going to be? 

A:  Starting out I am going to be doing the over-night Quacker Factory shows, plus other ‘hits’ during the day.  My main role is to be available to represent Quacker Factory when Jeanne isn’t at QVC, or if  QVC needs someone to go on air at the last minute.

Q.  How did you get the job?

A:  As you know I have been working with Jeanne and the Quacker Factory team for a long time.  Modeling on the Quacker Factory shows, but also behind the scenes doing make-up for Jeanne and working with the product development team has given me a whole new perspective. A few months ago Jeanne mentioned that QVC had suggested adding another on-air guest, as a backup, for over-nights, etc.  She asked if I was interested.Of course!  But it took quite a while.  I took some training sessions QVC offered.  I auditioned, along with a number of other possible candidates.  Quacker Factory and QVC management reviewed the tapes, etc.  Then, after lots of discussions,  the word came down:  I was chosen!

Q:  You just had your first solo shows on Feb. 24th.  How did you feel? 

A:  It was maybe the best day I’ve ever had professionally.  The first show was two hours—at 1 am.  I was excited and nervous at the same time!  But everyone was so nice, and so supportive.  I’ve been at QVC a long time so I know all the hosts, the back-stage producers, crew, etc.  They’ve been like family over the years.  People came up and said the nicest things.  Hugs.  Best wishes.  It was just wonderful.The following afternoon, I was on with Jeanne and Jane Brown, and that was great!  What a day!

Q.  What did you do to celebrate?

A.  Well part of me wanted to just go home and collapse!  But it happened to be my boyfriend’s birthday!  I’d made reservations at a very special restaurant to celebrate that.  Of course we also toasted the day I’d had—which I’d like to think will be the start of a long and happy new chapter.I am so grateful to everyone.  So many Quackers have posted such nice comments on Jeanne’s Facebook page, and other places.  I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everyone.  Thank you!
