JANUARY 2009: Let's Go For the Fresh Start
Our President Elect Barack Obama has promised us "A Year of Change", a time to reboot Our Life. This year I feel there are more possibilities in the air than ever before. We all seem poised to embark on some great adventure- And I'm going with it!
Let's go for the Fresh Start
Don't you just love the feeling that comes with a clean slate of a New Year? We have been cleaning & pitching here at the Quacker Factory. Chests-Storage Sheds- Garage- Attic- Even the Freezer - I decided it was time to "clean out" the old to make room for all the New that is coming into our world in 2009. If the glass is full ... It's hard to get fresh and new. We are looking at lots of empty spaces in our world right now; an empty agenda & the promise of some wonderful Quacky ideas to come our way. We have a million new & different projects on "how to fill up our world".
We are going into our 14th Year at QVC- Our 10th Anniversary of our "Hour Show." This past year I have kept a candle burning in my office 24/7. Home or not home - it burned - with prayers attached to bring new people into our world who see our vision at QVC - a team that we can grow with - and God has answered my prayers with a "Wow."
We have a new everything from VP to planners to buyers & assistants. And a new director is now in charge of "Keeping all our ducks in a Row." It is so exciting and they are all so positive & uplifting that work is not even work anymore - It's fun! 2009 holds the promise of thrilling opportunities just floating into our world. If you have some ideas, send them to us and we will pass then on to our "Dream Team." They want to hear from you.
For all of you, my dear Quackers, I wish for you a Year of Champagne Dreams & Caviar Wishes - A year where you can slow down & do the things that matter most. Whether you just want to have peace of mind - or energize your body or start living your dream - This is the Year!! Don't let your yesterdays fill up today- Everyday is a miracle just begging you to let it in. Make room for it. Clean all of 2008 out of your head (it's a full closet) and stop hanging on to the old stuff. Pack it up, move it out & pitch, pitch, pitch.
This is the year to focus on You! Yes, you read it right! Put "You" first. Challenge yourself this year. Step out of your comfort zone & try something new. Put "You" on the top of your "to do" list. Love "You" & make "You" number one. Catch up with old friends, bask in quality time. Yes, you do have the time. You should never be too busy for the person that matters the most, "You". Set some time aside each day for "Me Time." Get in touch with what would bring Happy into your life. Let's all be kind to each other too, this year- It is a New Year--- It's a transformational Year--- Let's make it the Best Year We've Ever Had.
Let's celebrate life in 2009 ... Let's walk into the New Year full of expectation & wonder.
What wonderful things will it hold? Well, I don't know for sure, and I can't wait to find out. Won't you come along for the adventure? I'll be right there beside you, holding your hand & laughing all the way.
