@joannevfitzgerald Hi Joanne Thank you so much for accepting me as a friend on this site, I do hope you are having a lovely day there, ive not long come home from walking my puppy patch, hes 11 months old now, hes a springer spaniel puppy, we had him fixes around 3 wks ago now, he ran off a few times and was showing sighns of needing to be fixed!, hes had this problem for the past week when I take him out on my own he tends to start jumping up at me and putting hes nose in my pockets, some days its been very difficult to control him when hes like this, Monday I had to drag him home by hes harness as he was so bad at this jumping up and putting hes nose in my jacket pockets, my partner Stewart walked him with me this morning as he is on the late shift today, 1pm-10pm, and patch my puppy was ok this morning, I had him on the slip lead plus he had hes harness on too, but this afternoon he was ok untill I turned to come home from the green where i walk him, he started jumping up at me, so i had to shorten the slip lead and that managed to stop him for a while, but every now and again he would jump up at me, luckily i got him home ok, i dont think i will take him out on my own untill he calms down a bit, he normally has three walks per day, i had a collie cross dog before, but he had to be put to sleep on 27th september 2013, he was called charlie, that dog got me through a lot of hard times in my life, i had him from an eight week old puppy, he was just over 14 and a half when we had to have him put to sleep, we were visiting colleen in missouri when he got taken ill, he was in boarding kennels, he had problems breathing, so the kennels took him to our vets, i had given my partners fathers phone number to the kennel and i also gave colleens phone number to my partners father just in case anything should happen here, stewarts parents were keeping an eye on the house etc while we were away, the vets phoned stewarts parents and asked if he could contact me to contact the vets, we got a call the day after we arrived at colleens to ask if we could call the vets as charlie was ill, we tried to call the vets but could not, i did manage to e mail the vets and ask if they could call me there and i would pay for the call upon returning back home, well the vet did call me, she told me that charlie had breathing problems, they had given him oxygen, which was not helping much, they x rayed him and found a tumour on hes liver, with that i burst into tears and passed the phone to stewart, the vet spoke to stewart and said they would call back in 2 hrs, which they did, stewart took the phone into colleens garden, he was on the phone a long time, when he had finnished the call he said to me, im so sorry ive had to ask the vet to put charlie to sleep, i was so upset, i cried and cried, stewart said the vet had tried to get charlie to stand up, he just would not, he would not eat, drink, hes organs were failing the vet told stewart, so stewart asked the vet to put charlie to sleep, i had to go the rest of the holiday thinking about my best friend, the dog that got me through some tough times in my life, the worse was coming home, seeing hes basket and toys, we had to go to the vets and arrange cremation, our vets do not do creamations, so i arranged for another company that does cremations to collect charlie and creamate him, ive made a memorial garden for him, and have scattered some of hes ashes there, i have also scattered some of hes ashes in wales where my dad lives and we spend many happy holidays with charlie, we used to hire out a lodge and take charlie with us, he loved it there, lovely walks there too, i scattered some of hes ashes by the lake there where we used to walk charlie, i miss him terribly, we did adopt a terrier x dog last december from the dogs trust, he was six yrs old, he had been mistreated by a family, he was the most loving dog in the home, but once out and he saw another dog he would go crazy, he hated other dogs, he would not play with toys, after having him 7 wks he turned aggressive, and started standing by our back door growling at me, i had to call stewart home from work, we called the dogs trust where we got him from, at first they refused to come out, then agreed to come out, we got him in the kitchen to isolate him and with doing that he bit me on my left foot, i had an asthma attack, the dogs trust came and took him away, i felt terrible, felt i had failed scrappy for the second time in hes life, but we had to have him sent back, we then started to look for another dog, we got patch february as an eight week old puppy, hes been fine untill recently with this jumping up at me, i may have to call in a trainer for help, if you would like to mail me on my e mail instead of here my e mail is cbrailsford@msn.com, we are going to go to stewarts parents xmas day for the day, they live local to us, about a 15 min walk away, they have a springer spaniel dog oscar hes 11 now, hes got arthritis in hes elbow, he has accupuncture once a month to manage it plus hes got painkillers too, stewart works at our local airport here stansted, mostly european flights go from there, he works in the whiskey duty free shop there, he works shift work, he works 2 days on the 4am untill 1pm shift, then does 2 days on the late shift 1pm untill 10pm, hes on the first of hes late shifts today, hes home for around 10.30pm tonight, i do dinner early and have mine and reheat hes when he gets home, I do not work due to ill health, i only have one kidney and its the wrong shape, i have arthritis in my lower back and right hand, i have ibs, asthma and other illnesses, ive had a heel spur on my right heel, diagnosed july this year, but had it since April, my dr referred me for physio therapy, which i went to starting middle october, had to wait three months for that, and when i last went the therapist said to me, i will see you in january, that was on the 19th november, its getting much worse now, im hobbling on it sometimes, i wear sketchers trainers, so got a drs appointment for tomorrow afternoon to see if there is anything else that can be done , like a referal to a specialist or injections, its so damm painfull, ive been taking patch out the best i can, plus getting things done here, last night we had a problem with our toilet , it would flush but not refilling, so i had to call my housing association this morning, we rent this house, its social housing, they said someone would come within three days as its an emmergency, then within an hour the plumber was here and he fixed it, well he put a new part in the toilet, so thats all ok now, thank goodness, ive been getting ready for xmas too, we have not put a xmas tree up this year as patch would only have it down! he is terrible, i have put up a bethlehem lights wreath and a garland i got last year and a xmas picture that lights up too, thats all i have up this year, i did put some xmas bears on the shelf where the garland is, i wanted to get those set of 2 bethlehem lights small xmas trees to put on charlies memorial garden, but know patch would destroy them, so did not bother this year, im just down at the moment, i was married for 21 yrs but it was abusive, i only stayed with my ex husband for the kids sake, ive got 3 grown up kids, all turned against me by my ex husband, ive got 2 grand kids im not allowed to see, they are all married not one of them told me they were getting married, read it on the internet, I dont like xmas as its family time, and most of my family turned against me when i left my ex husband, and to make it worse its my birthday xmas day too!, i just feel it at xmas, colleen whom ive made friends with on here calls me her adopted daughter, we have been over there to stay with her and her family in 2013 and 2014, we could not go this year as its so expensive to go there plus we had to spend a lot on our car, the gearbox went and some other things on it, plus my problems with my heel and i would not go and put patch in kennels being so young, and i had blood clots in my legs too, i ended up going to hospital for that , as my dr would not see me when my legs were swollen up and painfull, i had to inject warfarin injections into myself for over 2 wks, had to have 2 scans to make sure the clots had gone, luckily after two wks they had gone, so this year has not been that good for me, i met stewart in 2003 online, he was living with hes parents here where we now live, i was living in norwich a 2 and a half hour drive away, he would see me on hes days off from work, after 2 yrs of doing that i put my social house up for a house swap and after around six months this house came up for a swap, the girl who had this house moved into my house in norwich and i moved here, we have been here now just over nine years, its not a bad house, only rented, its a 2 bedroomed house, medium size garden, i do the best that i can do, i cannot work due to ill health, i make cards, like to do gardening when i can, not done much gardening this last year though, but do the best i can, ive done three loads of laundry today, anyway best go and see what patch has been up to downstairs, you take care now and dont forget im here for you anytime, just mail me, eithter on here or my e mail, you take care now, god bless, take care, thinking of you there
